I'm simply amazed by some of the things I'm able to pull off in this game. I have a feeling this will be the greatest basketball game of all time, I have never had so much fun playing basketball on both ends in a video game.
    Now Playing: FIFA 15, NBA2K15

I like how the ball doesn't feel magnetic. From the steals, blocks-- if the balls loose, it's loose.

I grabbed a rebound and tried to bullet a pass to Kobe, he didn't catch it with his hands, he kept slapping the ball with his hand to keep dribbling it. Very neat.

Something minor, I don't know if this happens in the previous 2ks, but I was trying to chase down Pierce, missed him and ran into the booth on the side of the court with Kobe. He braced his fall on it. Haha neaaat.

I have my reasons for posting what I post and it isn't to take shots at 2K Sports or VC. I give a raw unbiased observation of what I experienced.
Well, I still have copies of MANY sports games. And I can safely say that the primary members of the VC team has stayed consistent throughout the years. BTW, Take Two and Sega only write the checks. VC is the technical and creative center of all of the NBA and NFL 2K games. Looking at the credits for NFL 2K3 and NBA 2K2 I see a good number of names in production, art, and engineering that cross reference NBA 2K10. So, you were saying?

I don't assume your motives, but it's been clear that you don't think much of VC. And nothing is wrong with that. That's your right.

I've played the demo several times and I have to say I love it! The fluid player movement and new jumpshots are a thing of beauty. My only complaint is the crowd noises on the PS3 version get very annoying real quick.

I look forward to starting an Association on Allstar/Sim difficulty.

I wish I could play with the North and South camera (2K) instead of east to west. I deleted the demo.

Someone from 2KSports Forums mentioned about players playing through injuries. I mean playing gingerly or nagging in pain. Have you guys encountered that?

              Here's what he said...

One of my fav moments so far in the demo.
Gasol gave a hard foul to Allen that injured his lower back and tried to walk it off.. It did not stop there the injury was nagging him(holding his back while we were playing) as he was still playing on the court.. I was able to abuse him for the short time then they subbed him. but it was cool to see the player playing through and with injury NICE!!

Damn, that is awesome! When playing last year and seeing somebody go down, I was just hoping they would come back in the game with noticeable discomfort.

Not feeling the demo... it's like the game is in slow motion. I think it's good that the passes don't seem as much like lasers anymore and guys seem to be getting their hands on balls better than they used to.

Overall, the defense is really good. But the offense is super stale. What kind of stuff are you guys doing to score( in a non-cheesy drive and dunk way)? I mean, they still haven't created what it feels like to be in control of a player and the interaction between a defender and an offensive player. There is no iso game for the jumper, and even when you do get an iso jumper it doesn't look or feel real. It's just like you wiggled and he moved to the side and then you shot a jumper.

The players look disinterested in the action, they don't move well and they seem unfocused on the ball or anywhere outside if their animation. It's like everyone is in a little bubble... animated perfectly, but since they don't take into account everything outside of the bubble (unless the animations are being affected by the players getting too close) it looks extremely dry.

I can't even get hype for the unrealistic dunks, either. Everything on the offensive side of the ball is extremely weak to me. On defense, I like a lot of the subtle details that they added, but it would be nice to have that sort of control on offense, too.

I'd be very disappointed but I didn't expect it was going to be totally different like people say it will be every year. But I was expecting a better demo.

I still think 2k8 is more responsive and gives a better brand of basketball, by far.

                  Edit:

I've played the demo on both 360 and PS3 and the visual difference is pretty apparent to me. I'm definitely not "trying really, really hard" to find something wrong and my TV and connections are top notch. Just looking at the court I can see that the 360 sports reflections while the PS3 is court is completely flat. Throw in some additional "jaggies" on the PS3 and the difference is there for me.

Having said that, the game runs very smoothly on the PS3 and I actually feel that the PS3 controls a tad better than the 360.

Can anyone comment on whether the visuals will be updated for the PS3 version prior to release (at least the addition of court reflections)?

Update: Just looked again, and the PS3 court DOES have reflections, although they are very subtle and easily missed. Still, compared to the 360 the court is very matte and not as attractive IMO.

Defiantly would love to know if the PS3 will obtain some sort of visual update before it is released. Like most who have commented about the 360 vs the PS3 I do see a difference as well. The biggest thing for me is the amount of jaggies on the ps3 vs 360....I can only hope the final product will be smoothed out some

2k7 is still the most responsive and better playing 2k basketball game.

Definitely disagree. While 2K7 was mind blowing for it's time, it doesn't hold up to 2K11. That bar has been passed and the previous games are unplayable to me now.

That simple its pretty easy for people who've played basketball before like Czar and others . Also you don't have to cross people all day to score you can literally score by just rotating the ball to the right person and using screens and picks

                              Bingo.

But it is oh so pretty to iso a guy into an ankle breaking whiff and blow by him for the slammer!!!

Anyway I agree. Use plays, screens, rotate in and out. The best players understand how to pass into and out of the post for open looks.
