It might be a little premature, but last year there was a whole thread dedicated to people trying to get NBA 2K10 early and from where. So, since I don't see a thread like that around and I'm amped about this year's game, I figured I'd see if people are still trying to get this early and what the strategy is.

I don't think I have some sort of scheme devised to get my hands on the game early, sadly...I do plan on telling my mom to just buy it for me that day when I go off to school. So when I get home I'll have the game ready for me.

I will be calling the same places I called last year leading up to the release to see if I can get NBA 2k earlier.

I just think it is really, really, REALLY annoying when some loser young guy posts that he has NBA 2K11 already and provides absolutely no proof, then gets mad when we start doubting him--even though he doesn't even have it. Please don't be that guy. I always envision the people who do that laughing while eating a bag of chips--without the game, without friends, without a girl, and plain out without anything better to do.

Wells some mom and pop stores give the game out a few days earlier. I got 2k10 4 days earlier than the release and that isn't much to a lot of people, but to me it is..lol.

yea. i got it a few days early last year. first time ever...too bad i wasnt smart enough to write down where i got it from, so its back to square one this year

There's a local mom and pop that usually has it a week to 5 days earlier. Hope I can snag it again early this year.

Does anybody know when the game is supposed to be shipped to stores this year? Last year I think places had the game maybe a week in advance? I don't wanna start calling the mom and pop stores too early so they're already annoyed by the time I actually have a chance at getting it

I have 2 good sources in the Newark, NJ area, the same place i got 2k10 2 days early and another store close by will have it early also. PM me for the info.
