Re: NBA 2K11 Demo Available Now, Impressions and Discussion Here (360,PS3)
the ps3 has custom soundtracks i do believeMmm...I can't get enough of this demo! It's just so smooth and realistic.
Two things:
1.) Did they fix the height of the ball being released on a post-move (IE: KG shooting on a post-move resulting in him shooting the ball at the very top of the backboard)
2.) Any clue if the custom soundtrack will be available for the ps3?
i thnk i read it somewhere....maybe in the presentation insight...not sure where but i kno i read itComment

Re: NBA 2K11 Demo Available Now, Impressions and Discussion Here (360,PS3)
The post game is still bugging me just a bit. Besides being able to manually post, most of the moves seem similar. When backing down in the post, the computer seems to decide which shoulder we have turned to the defender. For example, I have Kobe dribbling with his right hand on the top side of the floor. As soon as I back down, the computer automatically turns your shoulder switches the dribble to the left. If I remember correctly, 2k9's post game gave you the ability to decide which shoulder you wanted turned to the defender when backing down. You could even switch which hand you were dribbling with while engaged in the post. Please tell me if 2k11 has this ability.Comment

everything looks great and plays out well on the court including movement and spacing. what i don't like is the lack of control on defense. i don't feel like i have full control of my player on D and the ability to man up and body up the ball handler. defense was terrible last year and i was looking for a huge improvement. i just haven't felt that playing the demo this year. hopefully things are better on the retail version? it also could be this camera angle.
rebounding isn't as good as last year IMO and there isn't a lot of boxing out and physical battles for the board down low. when players jump for the rebound, the animations are pretty awkward at times too.Comment

Why would you post w/ your back to the defense? You post up with your back to the baseline so you can see help, see cutters, see open teammates, etc.Comment

You dont face a defender when you post up. You have your back to the defender.Comment

He's saying you post so that you can see the court instead of just seeing the baseline and allowing someone to come behind you and swipe the ball away.NFL: Bills

Re: NBA 2K11 Demo Available Now, Impressions and Discussion Here (360,PS3)
Ok, I found this glitch on accident, the cpu was inbounding the ball, I foulded the KG inbounding the ball with the hard fould animation and the ref was no longer able to give the ball to KG or anyone else for that matter...I had to quit the game!! I was like WTF, so I tried a couple more times to duplicate it, without luck so I thought it was just a 1 time thing, but I was able to do it a couple more times...
I was wondering had anyone else seen this??? Again I fouled the inbounder, KG who was inbounding the ball, I don't know how I was even able to do this.

It's taking me a while too but I'm getting used to it. I need the full game to practice just a little bit more on the controls.Greatest Franchise Ever

Re: NBA 2K11 Demo Available Now, Impressions and Discussion Here (360,PS3)
Actually, someone had already reported this:
Looks like it is an actual bug. Here's hoping it is fixed in the final build...Hey Mike Wang..I don't know if this will be a problem in the final product, but I did something yesterday that had me wondering if this might become a glitch in the final product.....
I had just started my game (demo) and I got to an out of bounds play so the referee was giving the ball to the out of bounds player, and I wanted to see if I could make the hard foul work so I pushed the button command and my player went to foul the out of bounds player, so he grabbed the out of bounds player and the out of bounds player dropped the ball, the referee did not call the foul and the game just kinda froze from that point on,
now the referee was still counting the 5 secounds for the player to inbound but the game just stayed stuck ...not in the sense that everything was frozen but nothing happen to reset the game back to the out of bounds possession...the players just kept moving like they were trying to get open, the ref kept counting..so after I watched that for a while, I couldn't get anything else to happen,..... so I just quit the game and when I played again everything was fine after that...weird...lol-andrewdski
