could madden 12 use some new mo cap?

everything gets so stale from the tackle to the broken tackle to the catching animations. also it doesnt really look like what i see on sundays. not tryna bash or anything just a lil friendly convo.

If EA's other titles are any hint the game will soon have physics instead of animations controlling the movements.

I say yes they could. There's new mo cap in the game this year, but yea it needs a little bit more and most importantly, the right animations need to trigger at the right times.

hopefully in madden 12, they'll use the physics engine. Then maybe, just maybe this game will return to its former glory.

Madden 12 will need a ton more than just new mo-cap....they need to show an overhaul!

Madden 95 had the NFL on FOX theme.

In all seriousness though, I think motion capture in sports games is nearing an end. I think BB, as lackluster as it was, did what it was intended to do. It was, IMO, released to show the potential of real-time physics. Then, soon after, you see EA NHL, NBA titles feature it. Not to make it a BB discussion, just saying that is what opened the door IMO. It would only make sense to phase that in, all I ask is that M12 is NOT that year. M13, sure...but I have been waiting for offline franchise since Madden 06 PS2. I believe with some more motion capture, more realistic at that...You know, have a lot of different former players (UFL, AFL, etc) come in and run some routes, do some blocking, etc...I think that'd be fine for one more game.

This thread suggests Madden 11 didn't get any new motion caps, which isn't true. So really, the question is just being redundant. They add on to what they have, they're not going to completely scrap what they have. For a yearly release, EA doesn't have the time.

They add new mocap every year. There's new mocap this year.
