I am not dogging them. they have been the main asset to this product on the OS forums. They have been telling us to wait for the demo for weeks now, well it's here ad the reviews are 99% negative. I am asking rEAnimator to defend his product, and answer a few of the questions he said he would. Why have the graphics gotten worse? why is the scaling so miss-proportionate? Why is the 5 v 5 action so stale?

Authentic as in everyone has sig moves and individuality? No, I don't see that. The only thing I've seen close to authentic are the sig shots. However, whether or not this game is authentic I like the fact that I'm being given the amount of control that I have. I'm not saying this game is perfect. No not at all. I've seen more than a few flaws. Through all of it though I can appreciate what the developers have done with the controls and stringing moves together to pull off a sick lay-up just feels great to me.Comment

It really went downhill after the tutorial. I think the control scheme is slick; it's visionary. The animations, the spacing, the off-ball movement, the decision making, are all not up to par.Comment

Dude calm down if he is enjoying the game let him be, and stop trying to go hard on rEAnimator, is obvious a lot of people are not feeling the demo. But god he's been here since day one and is still here through all of the impressions smhComment

I don't see why we should take it easy. this has been one of the first things in 4 years on this site that has gotten me hot. We are the consumers, we pay them, not the other way around. If one of us (me) would like to ask questions, I think I am entitled to.Comment

@ rEAnimator I hope you just use this negative feedback as fuel to make a better game next year. I haven't tried it out yet as im on 360 but it is what it is. Honestly this is what I expected. Its a rebuilding year. Just dont get discouraged.Comment

Really disappointed, and I've been playing live for the last 3 years. I like the new controls, but wow somehow everything is worse. The animations are worse, defensive controls are worse, no turbo at all.
Redone dribbling controls they are going on and on about, same as last years. Atleast they feel that way to me.
Why is there no slider for game speed? You wanna see how fast this game is running, just do the pivot moves with the ball carrier and watch there body, they almost seem to teleport where they are going.
Just awful all around, the game speed is what really does it in. Guess I'll have to wait awhile before I can play NBA Jam.Comment

This is a discussion thread right, so why do people always have to get so defensive when other people are asking other posters certain questions?Comment

Re: NBA Elite 11 Demo Available For PS3, Later Today For 360, Post Impressions Here
Any post that says something along the lines of "the graphics suck, Live 06 looked better", there's not much I can say to that. I suppose that graphic quality is somewhat subjective, but Elite is in no way worse than Live 10.
We made massive changes to the gameplay, but the rendering got incremental improvements over last year. There's just no way it could look worse.
But to each their own.
As for the people who don't like the controls, all I can say is give it some time.
I'll say this only to illustrate a point, not to get into any kind of argument (ie I will not respond to anything 2K related after this post).
I tried the 2K demo today, and lost my first quarter quarter 15 - 0. I have the Elite controls so ingrained in my head that I found the game almost impossible to play at first.
Then I realized that many, if not all of you, would feel the same way when you tried the Elite demo. Simply because the roles are reversed.
I'm not on here saying the 2K demo sucked because of my experience in that first quarter, so I can only hope the 2K fans trying out our game for the first time give us the same respect.
Hopefully the practice mode helps, but unfortunately it looks like there is going to have to be at least some desire to learn it in order to enjoy it.
As for the comments about the animation quality, we've gone over that quite a bit in the video threads.
If there are specific questions that people want answers to above and beyond what was discussed in those threads I'm happy to have the discussion.Comment
