Everything sounds really great. I was just wondering about player improvement. Do we still have to play little training games to improve given players and attributes? It would be great if improvement depended on a combination of time in practice ( especially since you can now run intrasquad scrimmages) and game day performances. And what about practice? Will it still be implemented the same way, or is there something new in store for us? Just a few questions that I know will be answered in a couple of weeks.

Re: NBA 2K11 Developer Insights: Association
I was also wondering since everything the team does to build is based on the coaches style, if coaches were fireable and hirable? It sounds like a new coach would change a whole system Which is realistic, I guess. But can the game bring that aspect to life as well? I was also wondering if plays and playbooks were linked to teams or to coaches? If Phil Jackson moves to OKC does the triangle offense go with him? Or will a new coach be stuck with the old system?
Does anybody know? Can you hire, fire and trade coaches?Last edited by mysticsmoke; 09-22-2010, 09:26 PM.Comment

2K's track record is not good in this regard, so let's hope they turn the tides this year.Ryan Spencer

Re: NBA 2K11 Developer Insights: Association
all sounds too good to be true really.
sounds like they have the AI moves and simmed stats perfect, but i cant see it being that great in actuality.
something about this game is going to dissapoint, its a fact, but for the life of me i cant see what.Comment

I was already sold, but I screamed at work after reading that. The only thing I hope they also improved are...
1. Commentating (was great last year)
2. Online franchise - wish you could run one with only 2 players like MaddenLast edited by FAM CEO; 09-22-2010, 09:35 PM.Work Hard...Pay Bills...Work Hard...Pay BillsComment

YES!!!! NO LONGER WILL CHRIS BOSH LED THE LEAGUE IN REBOUNDING!!!!
But seriously im glad they fixed the upsets in the playoffs. Re: NBA 2K11 Developer Insights: Association
I don't have to manually split up my team for scrimmages, and they have practice jerseys now. Practice awesomesauce confirmed.
Clearly Mike Wang and co. were looking to crush the comp going into this year. So many fixes and improvements.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

100% correct. I think 2K saw a chance for a kill shot and they are going for it HARD. It is really incredible the amount of work that went into this one.Ryan Spencer

Re: NBA 2K11 Developer Insights: Association
Imagine if the game improved by this much every year. Imagine if every sports game improved this much every year.
I am not a die hard basketball fan, but 2k11 has almost made me a day one buyer. I usually wait until the basketball games get cheaper and pick up the one that is cheapest. This year I am almost willing to spend $60 on 2k11.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
