    Online Franchise?

    Hey guys.

I have been a 2K guy in the past until NBA Live 09. I didn't want to buy NBA Live, but all of my fiends were and they just would not buy any 2K game saying it's garbage.

So I've told them all the new things NBA 2K11 is going to have and how it's going to be better than NBA Elite 11, but they just will not listen. There's no way I'm going to be the only one of my friends to buy NBA 2K11 while they are all playing NBA Elite 11, because I mostly play online against them.

Personally, I really want NBA 2K11 because I just think it is amazing and have loved 2K games in the past until I got persuaded into NBA Live/Elite. I don't want to be stuck with NBA Elite 11 because basically, I think it sucks. It can be fun for a little bit, but then the unrealisticness takes over.

We all bought Madden 11 and all we do is play their Online Franchise. That's pretty much why we bought it and what keeps us playing that game. And I was thinking, if NBA 2K11 has an Online Franchise, maybe I can use that as a way to persuade them to get NBA 2K11, because as far as I know, NBA Elite 11 does not have an Online Franchise.

    So my question is...

Will NBA 2K11 feature an Online Franchise similar to that of Madden 11?

If so, can someone tell me more details about it? Will it be as in-depth as Madden's? Are there fantasy drafts, trades, etc.?

    Thanks!

Online leagues, not franchise though. You can do a fantasy draft with your league.

Aren't those pretty much the same thing? If not, what's the difference? Can you make trades and manage your team like in Association? Can you change the number of games to shorter as it be pretty much impossible to play 82 games.

      Thanks.

Plenty of options and a sweet website to go along with the league.

You get box scores, shot charts, game by game stats, league leaders...it's just like NCAA 11

          That sounds sweet.

This may be a stupid question, bur let me get this straight. You DO actually play the games and you play your friends when they are up on your schedule? Also, could you gov me the link to the website?

          Thanks!

Yes sir you play your friends in the games, I suggest you do flex schedule for your league.

I just randomly clicked a league so some league is getting some free publicity , but this is so you can get an idea of what the league sites include.

              Oh sweet.

But I'm not really sure how the stats and other league stuff transfers to the site. How does it update after each game? Do you have to connect your league somehow to the site?

The league is automatically connected to the site, the stats are updated on its own. Now you do have the option to upload media content such as in-game screenshots and replays to the league. Those are done manually but the league updates the standings and stats automatically, a few minutes after the game.

The league site also shows you the scoreboard for games that are currently being played at the time. So lets say if two of your friends are playing an important league game you can track the boxscore like if you were doing so for an actual NBA game.

Holy crap that is sweet. Hopefully I can persuade my friends to get 2K11 because of the online leagues.

                  Thanks a lot.

Where can i find info about 2ks online league features? ive been searching but i cant find much.

is it multiple seasons, or do u start over each season? and do all the teams have to be user controlled?

Titan one thing to keep in mind which is a BIG difference between 2k leagues and the leagues on madden and NCAA 11 is that so far there has been no confirmation that 2Ks leagues will be progressive this year. meaning you can do trades etc., but when the season is over you basically start from scratch. Your players dont develop/get older and there is no rookie draft.

Oh thanks for that. We wouldn't do that anyways just because we get kinda bored using the same team. Thanks a lot guys!

By the way, I posted the same question on the NBA Elite forum, and guess what? No answer. That's either due to lack of people that play that game or they dint want to admit that they don't have an Online League.

I was kinda wondering about this. If somebody who has some experience in an online league could comment on this I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Yes. In 2k10, they all had to be user-controlled.
