i def see a difference....i use custom sliders tho....the d ran zone alot and it was hard to find open guys....i ran play action 3 times and wasnt sacked immediately, i had ample time to find a receiver or scramble.Follow me on twitter @schnaidt1 and Youtube @Sim Gaming Network

Agitating. What exactly was balanced? Why is it classified "miscellaneous?" I would very much like to know what was changed to be better balanced.Miscellaneous gameplay balancing

Then how do you know that there was nothing wrong with the kick meter? They changed it because it lagged too much online.Comment

This is the biggest question for me. I have the game but because of the poor pass defense even with tweaked sliders, I can't find it enjoyable to play. I know it mentions it as an improvement, but what is everyone seeing?Comment

As some one said earlier, I also noticed that if you are playing a zone coverage, When a player on offense enters that defenders "zone" he will shade him from where the man on offense enters the zone to where he leaves that players zone. Now, at times though. The defender will revert to just sitting in the middle of the zone like it has pre patch. And the player may shade the WR but wont always make a play on the ball even if he is in great position (this is on All-Madden).
Using Man coverage, At times the Man coverage seems a little tighter. I really couldn't get a great gauge off the man Defense though. They make about the same plays on the Ball that they did pre patch. The only thing I Think stood out was that they covered the routes alittle more tighter at times. but not ever time.
But the patch did add some improvement to the pass defense, it wasn't ground breaking improvement, Like i said in my initial impression it will help you get some defensive stops that you normally would have missed. LBs will attempt to swat at every pass thrown over their heads even if its 15 yards down field. I even saw my LBs jump out of the sky and knock down those 15 yard over their head passes, (which is really odd cause most were lobbed so This worried me).
Just to make it short and sweet:
Pass Defense is better in some areas in very small ways, but it is not a game changing defensive patch by any means.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I would also like to add one more thing, I have to agree with everyone else in terms of the kick meter. I felt that the kick meter was addressed in the last patch, either that or the lag subsided, but for the most part, The kick meter now takes any realism away from FGs. I liked the kick meter before because FGs were not guaranteed. Hopefully, they put it back to the way it was. Otherwise like i said earlier as well no missed FGs ever againBFSL Sim League:

I play with custom sliders and played my first game today in a couple weeks for my franchise.
I noticed that with man coverage it seems that the good dbs don't get burned all the time anymore and sometimes will even jump the route on curls. With zone coverage it seems like they improved the reaction time of the D so that they're moving with the receiver instead of having the receiver catch the ball first and then have the defender run towards them. I also noticed that it seemed easier for my DLs and DEs to get to the qb a little easier.
The thing I noticed with Kick Returns is that it seems like they tweaked the Kick Power rating for kickoffs so you don't have like 90% of your kicks going in the end zone anymore. The kick power seems to still be the same with Field Goals though. The power meter seems to move at the same speed for me and not super slow like everyone is saying.Comment

Its cause they always jump the gun an ruin something with every patch, now ima have at least two kick return TDs every game and never miss a kick. What they should have done was just fix the damn lag on the kick meter not slow it down, thanks for ruining the kicking game....Man I just wanted tackling to improve, everything else was perfect. Please, someone with the power to talk to Ian Cummings tell him that the kicking field goal situation via this new patch is ridiculous. I liked it before, where no field goal was a given. It actually made kicking field goals fun...
I mean... in the second patch they claim they made stability to the field goal kicking system, and in this new patch, they just butchered the fun out of kicking field goals. That meter is way to slow... someone talk to Ian Cummings about a fix tonight. That's how serious I think it is.

Quick question about the patches:
Are the patches cummulative? Meaning, if someone buys the game today and when it prompts him to download this new patch, does this patch contain all of the fixes from the first two patches? Or will the game prompt the user to download each of the three patches individually?Comment

Yeah, they're cumulative because you're only prompted for one patch (the latest one).Quick question about the patches:

Pretty sure the kick meter is an online only "fix" - I ran some kickoffs in practice mode on All-Pro and the meter was the same speed as pre-patch.
It does seem like this was EA's answer to addressing the lag problems online, and that is disappointing.Comment
