But Timmy is a better rebounder, low-post scorer, defender and maybe edges Dirk as a passer (mostly out of the post). But again, I agree Duncan shouldn't be that much better if at all.

And you said there should be only 2 players besides MJ ranked 94-95. So you're also talking about other legends then? If so, then Magic needs to be up there. What about Bird and Dominique? If only talking about current-day players, then I could see that.
My bad homie...I just meant current rosters. I included MJ because he's on the cover. Legends are the Legends...

Good to see they kept nash at about the same ratings. Everything looks good imo. Nothing jumps out as particularly bad, rondo looks a little high. Thats probably the rebounding thats bumping the rating though.

paint power house vs ultrafail ex-starplayer, do i have to understand that ?

joe johnson as an 88 doesn't seem to fit either when guys like wade james and kobe got 97 while mello gets 93( which i cant agree to that either that all 3 got the same rating)

nowitzki 83 and duncen 90, ok this is just BS especially as i see that david lee got an 83,too

          john wall 81, goerge hill 76 . afflalo 65 . kevin martin 80
pls explain how a rookie without 1 nba game and a struggling summer league session is higher rated then 3 solid shooting guards

I don't care much about these ratings, but IMO Durant should be 97 just like Kobe and LeBron..

No doubt man. The cool thing about these ratings the discussions about who's better than who. I love having those.

The reason Dirk Nowitski has a lower overall rating is because he plays like a SF. He is listed as a PF but he is unathletic, doesn't play much defense, and doesn't rebound the ball that great as of late. His skills are more like a small forward and that is the reason he has a low rating as a power forward.

i agree with jeebs9 post, you really can't take too much off of the ratings, especially since the season hasn't started yet. You know that once the season starts the ratings will change so players who are overrated will see drops and hopefully underrated players with get the ratings they deserve.

The ratings aren't perfect but some of you people are funny complaining about a 2 point difference. We are only looking at their overalls we have no idea what their individual attributes are. When you consider all the different categories there are its hard to complain about an overall when you don't know exactly where a player was over or under rated.

Brandon Jennings got ripped again & no disrespect to Stephen Curry but Brandon Jennings can score better than Curry and pass better! He is also one of the main reasons the Bucks are going to win the Lebronless Central division this year. Stephen curry no doubt proved himself as a player this year, but Brandon Jennings is the better player no doubt. I'm sort of anxious to see how NBA Elite went about player ratings!

Remember when the Big 3 formed in Boston and everyone wondered how Rondo would fit in and he was the question mark of the lineup. Now's the highest rated Celtic on the game. Funny

Name one other SF that's currently playing in the league that averages 8.5 rebounds for their career....I'll wait...

As of late? What NBA are you watching?

Oh how about 26/11 in their career in the playoffs...

He may not be fast or able to jump high. But at a legit 7 feet with his shooting, passing and dribbling skills, he's an athlete. There are only a handful of people that are harder to guard than Dirk. 83 is terrible. Tim Duncan has been playing lackluster ball for the last 3 seasons.

Other than that ratings are decent. KD is now a top 5-7 b-ball player in the league now so maybe he should get a bump. Other than that, it's cool.

97....I'm not calling Durant "hype". But guys he hasn't brought any defense yet.

It would even put more fire under the table if we didn't have overall ratings could you imagine. Instead of seeing the players rating you would see the players for how they played. It would cut a lot of the talk about people cheese teams like the heat.

Attribute specific ratings are what really matter but the overall ratings of Dirk and Pierce standout to me. Those two should be rated higher than they are. It's obviously their defensive attributes that probably lead to these ratings but they still should be higher IMO.
