after looking at the ratings tony parker's rating really doesnt make since. You are telling me ron artest, aaron brooks, and baron davis are better point gaurds then him. Yeah right! Also george hill could be a little higher.

Wall: 21 points, 10 assists, 8 rebounds.

Lin: 13 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds.

Yeah man, Lin definitely destroyed him.

Rose an 89? What exactly is he good at besides getting to the rim, making tough layups, and jumping out of the gym? His outside shot is nowhere to be found and his defense is suspect at best.
Again, Noah higher? Rebound, defend, hustle. What else is there for him?

Rose is one of the best midrange shooters in the WHOLE LEAGUE. The stats from last year back it up.

I like how users assume everybody plays strictly offline.

because OVL means even less ONLINE than Offline. I destroyed people with GSW last year when they played as the Lakers, Cavs, Magic, Celtics. The great thing about 2k is if you play real basketball (in the game) you will destroy anyone.

I would love to see the overall rating go, but there are too many idiots out there that wouldn't know who's good.

This whole thread gets a big sigh from me. Everyone has their opinion. Some make more sense than others but at the end of the day its all subjective. Until 2K actually develops a CONSISTENT SCALE to ratings which applies regardless of personal opinion and team or player allegiance, the ratings argument will be endless and annoying. Even if they are 100% accurately scaled to statistics, there are so many intangible ratings that are subject to opinion.

Stats @ world Championship: 19 ppg (52% fg%) 7.1 rpg 1.5 ast. + named in the all-star five from the championship.

The 2k insider has some work to do...

Ever since I saw Jefferson play against the Raps 2 or 3 years ago I've wanted him on our team. At first I was a ***** because he was manhandling our players, but then I realized, that's what I want instead of the miss nancy's we often collect. I like players that play hard like that and force their will.

he's rated an 80 - I guess that's fine, but it's his play attitude and strength that put him way above people of equal or greater rating to me. Dude's a beast.

2 more things:
Garnett is NOT a 80 anymore...i feel more towards the mid 70s wod b more appropriate. since his injury, his defense has been way down, as has his scoring, and in the demo, his turnaround signature j is way overpowered

also, kinda let down that kobe doesn't receive a better rating than lebron/dwade
sure theyre great players, but kobe is definitely better dan dwade, and better dan lebron by even just one point
