Wrong. Gasol is equally to an aging Duncan, but worse than Dwight Howard. Gasol has such great offensive skill, but has managed to never score even 20 points a night. Dwight, with his "limited" skills, has done it twice. Gasol is only better at passing and shooting FT's, but Dwight is a better scorer, rebounder and he is the best defender in the NBA.

The L.A. hype is in full effect I see. They are the two best players on the best team in the NBA, not the best swingman/overall player and bigman in the entire league. People seem to not be able to distinguish between those two points.

Obviously you didn't see what Gasol has done to everyone he's faced, especially Duncan, Howard, Boozer...the list goes on, Gasol is very consistent at every facet of the game which is why his team wins games, even when Kobe is out.

      Dwight Howard can't guard Gasol

As a Sixers fan, Iggy at 84 is vastly overrated and Thad Young should be in the starting 5, whether for Brand or Hawes, not sure

What does this have to do with an overall rating?
          NFL: Bills
          NBA: Bucks
          MLB: Cubs
          NCAA: Syracuse

Woooo buddy bargnani too high? I believe he's too low. Only a 74. I swear that he had the same player rating last year. And i know bargnani improved last year. Should be like a 78 and also dont know how he's not the best player on raptors with barbosa beating him.

Nope. He averaged 7.5ppg, 3apg, and shot 38% last year. 60-65 would be about right.

D-Fisher, i respect the guy as a player, he is tough as tough gets, but an overall rating of 80, for a guy who is winding down his career, his overall shouldn't be going up, with guys like kobe, pau, lamar, he just runs the offense, sure he has some heroic plays on his resume, clutch in his own right, but not every night, getting a overall of 79-80 you need to be producing bigger numbers every night.

His rating is fine as long as his 3-point rating is about an 80 and his clutch rating are high then he is spot on. That is about the only thing he does now. Strength should be higher then average as well.

Yeah for a guy who's played 10+ years and very rarely miss a game that sure does mean he's soft.

That soft label is so freaking OVERATED and childish....makes you wonder why teams throw the kitchen sink at Soft player night in and night out and still get abused trying to defend him

But then again he ain't Kenyon Martin so he must be soft........

Defenders give Rose a lot of space because his main strengths are his quickness and ability to get into the lane, not his midrange jumpshot. Kobe shot 41% - are you telling me Rose's midrange jumpshot is better than Kobe's? I sure hope not. To say Rose is one of the best jump shooters from 16-23 feet because of the percentage is pretty laughable. With that said, I still think he's one of the best PG's in the NBA.

Here are some of the players who had lower shooting % from 16-23 feet than Rose..

                            Deron Williams
                            Richard Hamilton
                            Mike Bibby
                            Kobe Bryant
                            Ben Gordon
                            Peja Stojakovic

So yeah. Numbers don't always tell the whole story.
You must not watch the Bulls much. Rose is money from 16-23, more often than not. It doesn't matter if they give him space, he hits the shots.
