Re: NBA 2K11: Starting Five Roster Ratings

Kenyon Martin is a punk. And not missing any games only further proves how soft he is in my eyes. Dude shies away from contract like he's made of plasticine. Dude fades away on every shot no matter who is on him. Whatever, goes in, can't stop it, sure, whatever. It's also weak nonetheless.Yeah for a guy who's played 10+ years and very rarely miss a game that sure does mean he's soft.

That soft label is so freaking OVERATED and childish....makes you wonder why teams throw the kitchen sink at Soft player night in and night out and still get abused trying to defend him

But then again he ain't Kenyon Martin so he must be soft........

Let the record show that I do not like 7 footers that play like they're 6'6". HOFer sure. He put up excellent numbers.Comment

Ya those ratings for the Milwaukee Bucks are SO PATHETIC. So bad I might not even buy the game. I am not sure now even....
Look at those ratings for the centers? Are you KIDDING ME? Bogut 82 and Brook Lopez 81? These are high energy defense nearly 20-10 guys when healthy and they are only in the low 80's? How do you rate these guys? Based on wether or not they can run a fast break? UGH.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11: Starting Five Roster Ratings

If I'm gonna go by percentage? I'm going by percentage and volume. He makes and takes more mid range shots than Kobe, and on top of that shoots them better. Is he not supposed to take the jumper if that's what the defense gives him? If the numbers don't tell the whole story please tell me the rest.If you are gonna go by the percentage then you're right. But, you and I both know that his number doesn't tell the whole story. Defenders give Rose a lot of space because his main strengths are his quickness and ability to get into the lane, not his midrange jumpshot. Kobe shot 41% - are you telling me Rose's midrange jumpshot is better than Kobe's? I sure hope not. To say Rose is one of the best jump shooters from 16-23 feet because of the percentage is pretty laughable. With that said, I still think he's one of the best PG's in the NBA.

Here are some of the players who had lower shooting % from 16-23 feet than Rose..

 Deron Williams 1.8/4.1 43%
 Richard Hamilton 2.8/6.6 43%
 Mike Bibby 1.3/2.9 43%
 Kobe Bryant
 Ben Gordon 1.4/3.4 41%
 Peja Stojakovic 1.0/2.6 39%

So yeah. Numbers don't always tell the whole story.
And not only did none of these players not shoot the ball better from 16-23ft out, they didn't even come close to attempting as many. You have no argument. The numbers don't lie in this instance.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11: Starting Five Roster Ratings

I'm a Bucks fan. Bogut's ok at 82. He's about where he should be compared to the other C's in the league. I have a problem with someone like Maggette being higher than Salmons though.Ya those ratings for the Milwaukee Bucks are SO PATHETIC. So bad I might not even buy the game. I am not sure now even....

Re: NBA 2K11: Starting Five Roster Ratings

I just don't see it in him. Rose definitely has a better jumpshot right now. Like it's been mentioned already, he has one of the best midrange jumpshots in the NBA right now. Wall is incredibly inconsistent in pretty much every facet, but especially the shooting. He turns it over a lot, makes a lot of poor decisions, is better than Rose defensively, but still is hardly a lock down guy despite the fact that he should be given his athleticism. I just don't get the hype around him.NFL: Bills

Dude you can always edit the ratings you don't agree with. Not buying the game because of the default ratings assigned to your favorite team is just ignorant. This is setting up to be the most complete sports game to come out possibly ever and you're going to miss out because you're feelings got hurt by how they rated the Milwaukee Bucks....whatever floats your boat I guess.Ya those ratings for the Milwaukee Bucks are SO PATHETIC. So bad I might not even buy the game. I am not sure now even....
