The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.

My laptop and its integrated Intel GPU can run it, I'd venture to say that not much of a rig is needed. It isn't as pretty as you say, which is to be expected, but it runs, and I can get a decent window size (full screen gets choppy.)

I created a European user so I could download the demo on PS3. Waited a few days to post because I wanted to be sure of what I said.
This demo is better than any full version of any game I own except for Uncharted. And, I have "The Show". I feel like we have thrown the word "organic" around way too much over the past few years to describe a game that feels right. However, the word had to be used for PES. This game plays a brilliant rendition of soccer and I can't imagine what the full version will be like.
Moving the feints to the right stick is a brilliant move and feels like it should have been there all the time. The amount of ticky-tack fouls called is fantastic. That's a first.
I may be in the minority but I love seeing a lot of fouls and getting a lot of stoppages in play.
I'm still trying to get used to shooting.
Has anyone successfully used the man mark settings? This has been broken in Previous versions.

I love the frequency of fouls too. Last year we were lucky to get even one per game.

Pes5/WE9 also called a very "tight" game ( depending on the ref too ).
Which is a good thing, because it's more realistic.
The only thing that's really bothering me is the cpu ai of my teamates, they're just standing there flat footed, watching balls roll right past their feet, which should be easy interceptions ! Watch the replays closely.

Reo, people tweak the AI in both games. Last year in FIFA there was a custom tactics project that helped differentiate clubs when it came to how they played. Not sure how that will work this year.
I wasn't specific. Do they make the game more difficult?

i agree with the poster before me who said that it's too easy to impose your game even on top player.
Game is really good especially with the slowest setting, good pace, but the cpu just dones\t have enough control of the ball to be threatening.
maybe they might have a superstar difficulty, because top player will not cut it in the long run. Been a problem the last 3 iterations ....

Exactly.
Well, I can't 100% speak to PES since I think the majority of the changes were made via the PC version.
For FIFA I don't think it made the game more difficult, it just broke up the monotony of every team playing the same. Clubs that gave me problems in FIFA always had the same make-up, Fast Strikers.

I have to agree with those that say that keep possession is too easy. Although I do like this game very much and believe it has great potential, going by the demo, the difficulty should be increased. Doing this properly is very important. Having a super CPU isn't what I am after, but rather one where they play more closely to their real life counterpart. Barcelona should never have trouble keeping the ball 50% all the time and most often should retain it 65%. This would not only limit my numerous chances, but increase their potency making the overall experience more difficult to win. To be fair, in the demo last year I felt similarly only to find the full version much more challenging especially those away champions league games (even vs. inferior opponents.
Yes, I also understand that FIFA is very poor in their implementation of team building, but I have always held PES to it's own standard since I want a great game rather then one that is just better then FIFA.

No problem. Makes sense . . .

Yeah, speed in every video game kills. Pisses me off. I'm not saying it doesn't kill in real life, but you do need other attributes to go with it. Otherwise, players like Victor Obinna wouldn't be out on loan so often (yes, I know he's young, just it was the first name that came to mind).

Why is there only 2 camera choices in the demo? I like to play using the pro cam/verticle. I like what I see so far even with the bad camera setting. I'm liking it more than FIFA - which I'll prob pass on this year and stick to PES11.

Running animation etc look great gam, eplay is as good as its ever been.
Just don't know what to say.
getting fifa 11 and then a month later getting PES 2010. soccer is this years sports gaming highlight
I agree. I wasn't going to get Fifa because I think PES is better based on the demos but I am getting both. I will mostly use Fifa to play the Online clubs mode I think but no harm in getting both
PES is back this year in a big way and I am happy to see it.
