No way i am going to praise EA for what they did....NO EXCUSE ,EA for trying to sell a broken product, PERIOD.... EVERYONE at EA HEADQUARTERS gets the blame, expect David Littman.... It wasnt right for EA to have a HOCKEY guy worked on a Basketball game....

I feel the same way. Why not just swallow your pride release the game and sell it for $20. Why delay so close to the release date. Unless your going to scrap the entire thing and go back to the Live 10 engine.

Glad they did this, I wish they were working on/releasing a NCAA basketball game tho. So, what will happen to the NBA Jam add in now tho?

If they couldn't finish the NBA title, what confidence could one have in them completing an NCAA one?

Great move by EA, now I can buy both games. I'm always happy to see delays as it makes for a more polished project.

Very very good move and this instills a lot of confidence in EA from me that they are trying to please the customer as opposed to tricking the customer. I haven't bought an EA basketball game in five years now. Looking forward to seeing what they bring to the table next year.

Do you really think EA is doing this because it's the right thing? Or because so many people had so many bad things to say and they feel like putting it out would cost them more in poor sells then delaying or cancelling?

Seriously. Excellent point, If they would have release this game I would consider it the equivalent of a bank robbery. All of sudden it's like "oops, our bad we knew this game sucked but since we didn't reach our Pre-order quota it's back to the drawing board."

Makes me wish I didn't get rid of my LIVE 10 copy...

I don't see it like that at all. They saw the overwhelming amount of negative feedback, and felt it was necessary to go back to the drawing board and fix what people felt were negatives.

I'm also pissed about getting rid of my Live 10. I will be repurchasing though as I'm not totally pleased with the other title neither.

EA should do what they usually do when they have an inferior game....get an exclusive licencse. They did it with Madden when NFL2k5 was clearly a better game. If you can't beat em', buy 'em out.

Yeah just got the call about 30 minutes ago. couldnt believe what i was hearing. quite weird 7 days before release. no basketball for me this year

Come on everyone.....this may be a good move by EA but man....WTF! This game sucked so bad they had to cancel this sh**!!! LOL

I mean to me this is hilarious. I was gonna buy this game once the price dropped like I always do(I get 2k on release day....Live/elite later), but damn! This is just hilarious. Pair this along with the videos on Youtube....we have a comedy.

I kind of echo this sentiment as well. I don't want to go overboard in praising EA, they obviously had some numbers which told them that the sales were not going to be good at all, and possibly do more harm than good. Only question is why didn't they just take this year off altogether and come back w/ Elite 12, but I guess that's MMQBing.

Yup, they should scrap Elite 11.

They can then build a better Live 12 with more animations, give a different body build for players, try to make each player feel individual, signature moves & shots, put more commentary (I know, didn't get to hear the full commentary), just go all out!

hello im just wondering because i pre order already the game on wallmart last couple of weeks, do wallmart gonna ship to me the not updated Elite 11 or i can still get the game nxt year? thanks hope anyone can reply.

Wal Mart will not be shipping out any copies for now as the game is delayed. I will have to look into your pre-order if it means it will transfer over to next year. When I get that info I will let you know.
