Is there a reason to be sad? I mean NBA2k11 seems to be a monster hit and the best SIM of BBall out there. Are people so brand loyal that they stick to a messed up series even though a wonderful BBall game coming out??

I know EA sells alot thru brand recognition but that would be plain stupid.

I don't you were trying to fool anyone, but i think purposely choose which posts to respond to, so the flaws in your game wouldn't get highlighted. And you mislead a little, releasing gameplay videos and commenting it will look fast b/c of it being recorded off cam. But you guys never released any direct feed video, even though

In my opinion there are numerous statements here that just lead to false hope. The bottom line is this, you guys Over sold and Under produce.

I honestly never bought into that "we recorded off the screen" crap, because all my videos on youtube were recorded off screen and look fine. They were trying to make excuses or BS. My vids from Live 08 - Live 10 looked a way better than Elite, and they were all recorded in the same fashion.

They need to get some basketball heads in their camp, because any real basketball fan, would have looked at Elite and development and say something, unless they are YES Men!!!

And also those quick clips were decieving also, it made the game look playable and didn't show many flaws. I think from now on, if any company, whether it be 2k or EA, not releasing any videos of their game, and just going on and on about the features, I ain't buying or pre-ordering it, because with all the tech today, you can release your videos and show what you been working on. So we all know you have something to hide. Both companies have done it in the past, EA has done it more with Live 07, when they released gameplay footage like a week before its release. I'm suprised they released that game, that game should have been delayed LOL

So do they have a half million copies of Elite 11 sitting in a warehouse somewhere (ship date is next tues)? Can they simply build a patch and ship these old copies? Will they have to tweak the game and then print more copies of the NBA Elite 11.1?

Regardless of what fixes they manage to accomplish in the next few months, they absolutely positively need to reduce the price of this game to 29.99. There are no amount of fixes that will help them against 2k this year.

1.really need to scrap the animation "engine" and start from scratch

serious question: reanimator said they had reached the limit on "animation memory"(might not be exact quote, but close). How do they improve animations significantly without upgrading the engine?



2.need to steal 2k ideas/depth for association and incorporate into final product. no reason, with extra time , that they dont fix all the fatal flaws from their live 10 association mode. improved association mode would bring extra sales

exactly my point man.... i respect rEAnimator and stepsix alot and feel bad for them because there here defending the game, when it wasnt there vision (theyll never admit to it not being there vision), if there was a way to fuse elites shooting, rtp, presentation, into live 10, with improved grpahics, and more sig stuf, and animations, wed have one HELL of a game... hell since 2k took a page out of eas book this year, take a couple out of theirs, put old retro teams in the game.... ive owned every live since 2000, this is a disappointing day for a ea fanboy like myself.... ima jordan nuthugger(almost got into fist fights because people call kobes name and jordans into the same sentence lol), and i REFUSE to buy 2k, i absolutely HATE the way it moves and feels.... c'mon ea yall dominate every other sport game, time to do the right thing and take over basketball too

What I don't get about all of this is that if they're updating Live 10 with DNA updates and rosters, is it really too much to ask of them to fix NCAA's freezing issue? I mean really....

As much as I have voiced this same opinion it is looking more and more like this will never happen.

Wow!!! Gamestop has March 2011, that's too dang far away!!! I was thinking January at the latest!

Why not just cancel it all together and work on Elite 12, and NCAA Basketball 12. A 2 year cycle will assure a much more polished product. Because think about it, were going to buy 11 almost on April 1st, and then Elite 12 in October 2011. That's 6 months apart. Why not just work and complete 12.

Overall, I think you guys can do so much better, and Live 10 proved you have the capabilities. Either way I can't wait to see the improvements as times moves closer to release.

You know what though? They were right for me...I was VERY disappointed when I saw the early videos...they told me to wait until the demo to pass judgment so I did and guess what? I thought the demo was a lot of fun once I learned the controls...so did they lie to you somehow? They didn't lie to me...

this demo was total garbage everybody move the same and the controls were atrocious and laggy it took like 1 or 2 seconds for the pass icon buttons to come up what are u smoking?

They got scared and probably did the right thing by moving back the release date and tweaking the game. Its just amazing to me that they will not have a NBA or College basketball game this year....wow EA sports. Just imagine if the NFL license was not tied up and other parties could make a NFL football game. I could only imagine how competitive the sports gaming market would be if creativity was encourage and not hampered by this dumb down philosophy of buying out competition.

Funny EA Sports is based up north in that other country they make a good hockey game lol maybe only reason madden is good is cause they want the bills to move to toranto lol and maybe elite is so bad is cause they want the raptors to leave !! i think i'm on to somthing !! lol (kidding)

Almost did a double-take when I first read the news.

I'm still up in the air on whether or not I think it was a wise decision. I'm not financially invested in EA so I don't really care what it does to their bottom-line but I can't imagine any NBA fan wanting to hold out until a later date to purchase an NBA game. The only sports game that I know whose release doesn't coincide with the start of their season is soccer games but both of the big boys release them the same time so neither company gets a jump-start. Are folks really going to go back to Live '10?

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall in the meeting with the execs where they weighed the pro's & cons of releasing it on-time to much criticism or delay it and take the loss financially and image-wise. That was the real Decision 2010.

i know if EA dont release a college basketball game for 2012 they lost me a customer.. Also why the ncca 10 cant be updated with the rosters and that nice stuff that nba live 10 is getting.. If i dont get that roster update for Ncaa 10 with the new players. EA lost me as a customer...

they said delayed until 2011. last time I check, nba comes out in october. So they could be just saying that and probably canceling it. They are being vague on purpose.
