The Franchise Man: A Sleeping Giant for Association in OKC?

We are now just a week away from NBA 2K11 being released, and I could not be more amped. Both titles are offering up a ton of different options, but when it comes down to it with sports games, I always fall back on the franchise modes.

There will be so many teams to choose from this year to run with, starting with the Miami Heat and their new big three. It’s going to be hard not to go with them this year or make one last run with my Suns and Steve Nash.

However, the team that is standing out above the rest this year has to be the Oklahoma City Thunder. They are the sleeping giant in this year's franchise mode.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with you. I have no doubts that they are on the cusp. When they first announced the; MJ : Creating a legend mode I thought to myself a couple of things. There is a little kid in side of me, and sometimes he likes to see Goliath crush David. So of course it'll be fun to run with the 90's bulls with Rodman, Pippen and Jordan -- The Dwayne wade, bosh, Lebron's. But! There are those times where you think of the " What if's " I know MJ was a bull, and he will always be in my heart. But I thought to myself where could I plug MJ into a team that is good, but maybe a player or two away from being a giant? Then Durant came to mind? To see Jordan, and Durant together I think will be a thing of beauty. So I cannot wait to play with this duo, I think it's going to be nuts.
" My coach always told me, you know Michael there's no ' I ' in team. One day I told him, your right Coach there is no ' I ' in team, but there is an I in win. "

I also agree. I do also am in agreement with bigking on the fire power they lack if playing on the harder skill levels. That is something worth trying out. We will see.

They are a team I won't be using in the Association. Too good of a team for me already. I like to start with a team that's really bummy, like the Timberwolves, and build them up.

The Thunder already have a top 10 player in Durant, Westbrook, and Green. THey also have nice trade pieces and cap space. Too good of a situation for me

I'm tempted to do an all-30 teams, but feel that won't put this new AI to work. If I control only one team it will be the 76ers, and I'll be developing Turner and Holiday...then look to package Igoudala, Thad Young, Lou Williams, and picks for a superstar...possibly Melo...

six or seven? good luck. but i still like my magic. They are not young but they are not a boston celtics either. Most of their starters and bench players are in thier prime. They have been one piece away from winning it all the last two yrs and even though they did little in free agency q. richardson will be a big pick up especially seeing that orl likes to shoot the 3 ball. And daniel orton gives them another body down low to help howard so that in a few yrs they can let gortat go because he will have a big price tag
                          .

I made up my mind a long time ago the Thunder would be the team I run with in Association. That team is just too young and talented to pass up.

Now hopefully 2K nails the playoff atmosphere this year. Playoffs in OKC are just nuts.

Drafting Harden is going to hold this team back for years. They should have took Tyreke.

When I dabbled with OKC in franchise last year the first move I made was trading Harden for Tyreke.

OKC were my youngin team since Durant was drafted in Seattle. 2k7.

That Tyreke move made me start playing with the Kings last year.

I had no problem averaging 25, 5 and 5 online. His rankings did not do him justice. I went head to head with the Lakers plenty of times and came away with wins.

Tyreke is a beast on 2k. Now that he has two big men with all those three point shooters.

                              Can't wait.
