    Obscene amount of successful tackles

Does anyone else feel like it's insanely easy to win tackles in this game? I'm playing on World Class, and it feels like I'm stealing the ball all over the pitch. However, I look at the tackles statistic and it looks pretty normal. But when I'm playing the game, the other team can never get a fluid attack going because of how easy it is to tackle.

    Anyone else notice this?

definitely. This is one of my few gameplay gripes. What makes it worse is that a lot of these clean tackles lead to 1v1 breakaways. Still not fixed from last year.

Way too many successful tackles from both teams...
it's ridiculous how the defenders are all world class.

^^^ had the same problem in the demo playing world class...way too easy to strip the cpu. Tried a game in retail copy using world class level and it was pretty much the same .

Moved up to legendary , and this is where the game shines IMO. You overpursue and be overagressive with the standing tackle, the cpu will kill you.

        hope it helps....

Only thing I'm worried about with bumping up the difficulty is how well I'll be able to play. I'm three matches into a career mode with Everton and I've got one win and two draws, so pretty accurate. I'm worried that if I take it to legendary, I'm just going to get slaughtered.

in the beginning you will be killed .....but after a while you will adjust and fare better....

point is, at least, there is a higher level which eliminates the over-easy tackling.

def biggest gripe so far. It would be nice to see the tackles result in some kind of loose ball, but it stymies the player and leads to a little fast break. I think only the truly world class defenders should be allowed to tackle that cleanly, and all other standing tackles should result in maybe a foul or something(unless the offensive player like has a bad touch or something.

I can tell you why EA made tackles easier.

They figured their giving more ball control to skilled players so they felt they needed to up standing tackles.

Good point. They need to have failed skill moves and more failed passes. That would really open up the game.

The skills moves are still too "Street Fighter" for my taste.

Personally I don't want a true to sim game and let's face it-that is an impossible task. I love the flow and pace of this game and I believe EA intended this. I am a high strung person and I don't want a video game that emulated the last world cup final. That's just me.

Yes. Right now it is probably my biggest complaint.

The successful tackling is really getting on my nerves...

Everyone including the strikers can tackle without fouling and it is just not realistic.

                          You want realism.......

The average foul in a match for each league

                          Bundesliga: 36.46
                          EPL: 24.63
                          La Liga: 37.41
                          Serie A: 35.09

Still want realism in (2) 6 minute halves because I sure don't

This is my biggest gripe so far from the demo, and what's keeping me from buying it over PES at the moment. It is a huge thing too, because it completely affects how you play defense, and thus, how you respond in attack. I've never felt like the EA guys understood this one. They responded to the complaints by supposedly toning down how fast or effective the tackles were, but I don't think they got that you need to actually create some risk/reward to the system. In real life, you can't rush in on Messi because he will go right around you. You also can't go in when you're on the left and ball's across his body to the right- you'll foul. This just isn't replicated, as the best strategy on D is simply to hold the pressure and tackle button while sprinting, which is something a 5 year old could do.

You can't even charge Tevez let alone Messi, he will embarrass you in this game. No offense but you have a demo and the skillful players in the full game are beasts compared to the demo. It's not as easy as you think it is.

The gripe in this thread is too many clean tackles not easy to tackle.
