A combination of the top 5 NCAA 11 slider sets

**DISCLAIMER** - The top 5 best slider sets is more of an opinion. Some may like others that many people dislike and vice versa. So I used # of thread views, # of posts, and the feedback the sliders got to come up with the top 5. Also, all slider sets I used are updated from Post Patch 3.

Alright guys, you may think I'm crazy, but I did this back in CH2k8 and it worked to perfection. I only had to make 1-2 slight tweaks and the sliders were and still are one of the most downloaded and best rated sliders on 2k share. That may just be a coincidence though. This idea may not work at all, but it's intriguing to me.

What I did for that game and what I did here is I combined slider sets. For CH2k8 I think I only used 3 sets. However, I decided to use 5 here. How I combined them: I added up every number and divided by 5(since there are 5 sets). For example: the 5 slider sets I used had Human QBA as follows - 15, 0, 10, 10, and 10. If you add up all 5 of those numbers and divide by 5, you get 9. Obviously you can't use 9 so you round to 10. For the difficulty, I went with the most used which is AA. Same with game speed. Most used is slow.

Here are the 5 sliders I used..

    Playmakers - http://www.operationsports.com/forum...l-sliders.html

    Silent Nature's - http://www.operationsports.com/forum...n-sliders.html

    fistofrage's - http://www.operationsports.com/forum...n-sliders.html

    kkman187's - http://www.operationsports.com/forum...rican-wip.html

    SECElite's - http://www.operationsports.com/forum...n-sliders.html

All credit goes to them for this set.

Without further ado, here they are:

    Options
    Difficulty: All-American
    Quarter Length: 8 minutes
    Game Speed: Slow
    Threshold: 25

    Gameplay(User/CPU)
    QBA - 10/15
    Pass BLK - 35/40
    WR Catch - 50/50
    RBA - 50/60
    Run BLK - 35/55

    Pass Coverage - 50/60
    Pass Rush - 45/60
    INT - 35/35
    Run Defense - 40/80
    Tackle - 40/45

    Special Teams
    FG Power - 15/20
    FGA - 25/55
    Punt Power - 30/50
    Punt ACC - 35/75
    Kickoff - 40/50

Penalties are more preference. I did not combine them. I personally have them all maxed to 100 except facemask at 55, clipping at 55, and holding at 50.

For auto subs, I use Playmakers. They can be found in the thread posted above.

Also, I highly recommend using coaching sliders which can be found here - http://www.operationsports.com/forum...g-sliders.html

There you have it guys. Let me know what you think. Any feedback is appreciated.

Again, all credit goes to PM, SN, kkman, fistofrage, and SECElite.

I tried human run defense on 40 and I was still holding cpu to under 50 yards rush a game (using UCLA). I lowered it all the way down to 10 and now I'm giving up at least 70.

Bruinkid - thanks for the feedback. I'm testing now. I'll see if I have that problem too.

If these don't work, I'll give those a shot. But I just want to see what myself and others can find with these as it's always been an intriguing idea to me.

This is probably the toughest set of sliders I've used so far. I'm about to go to sleep so I don't have time to post results of the games I played today(will do tomorrow), but they're definitely a challenge. At least for me. They seem very well rounded too. Pass rush on both sides is solid. I was able to run and pass as were they, but there's also great defense involved. Turnovers seem fine. I really had to fight and be smart throughout the games. You throw a stupid pass or try to force one in there, you will pay for it. I like the way they're playing so far.

These are awesome so far, mix of games, and realistic too. I have played 3 so far in my offline dynasty(custom conferences). I play as Georgia using coaching sliders as well. Using romancaesar rosters as well. You have to play several games to get real feel of sliders, and so far I have had a bit of everything.

                  UGA 27 Colorado 7
Sloppy game on both sides, I held them to 220 yards of offense, I only had 350 yards.

UGA 38 South Carolina 40 Lattimore, Lattimore, Lattimore!!! 200 yards rushing and 70 receiving, just killed my D. I had a kickoff return for TD and INT that set up 2 of my touchdowns, which made it close.

                  Arkansas 34 UGA 27
WOW, lose this one with 17 seconds left, Mallet to Childs, for 30 yards, two of my defenders nail him, fumble!!!, but wright is there, scoops it and runs it in to win ballgame, what a heartbreaker.

All games have had realistic averages and stats, nothing crazy, not perfect ever with this game, but atleast close to realistic. Having fun again, Thanks!!!

Glad you're liking them. I'm getting a great mix of games too.

These were all in my Miami dynasty and I used coaching sliders. Pretty good mix of games. A blowout against Duke. A close defensive battle loss. And a wild game against UVA where they kept it close and lead for half the game because of my turnovers(threw a pick 6 and lost a fumble on my own 20). Disappointed I lost to UNC though as that most likely shattered my National Championship hopes.

                    So far I'm loving these.

these are nice and challenging. when you're facing a team with a good defensive line, you really feel the difference.

                          All-American Sliders - Averaged from 6 sets

The difference is that set uses a combined AA set. The one in this thread has a mixture of both varsity and heisman sliders

Been playing with that set since and loving the results. I'll give these sliders a go too just in case those fail me.

Interesting. I hadn't seen that thread before and wondered if anyone else had thought of the idea. I really have no explanation for why I chose to combine all difficulty levels. In theory, it wouldn't make sense to, but hey, it's working out great so far.

i did something similar last year, however: a.) it was for madden 10 and b.) i didn't average out sets, but i used the defensive sliders that steeler99 put out and the offensive sliders PM put out. they worked out pretty well until ea put out a patch lol
