We are monitoring and fixing issues in this thread.
Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
Re: NBA 2K11 Q&A (Those That Have it Early, Confirmed)
Two questions guys:
1. There was an issue in 2k10 where the cpu would sometimes get backcourt violations by inbounding the ball into the backcourt after a timeout or deadball (sometimes 2-4 times a game). Have owners of the game seen this occur much?
2. In 2k10 the cpu would sometimes attempt alley-oops with no teammates in sight, resulting in constant turnovers with either the ball sailing out of bounds or being stolen. Have owners of the game seen this occur much?
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.
if someone could try to make a generic white person face id be interested to know if its possible this time around. Was able(through alot of work) to make a really good Wall and decent Turner iast year but when trying to make myself couldn't even come close to anything resembling a cracka. That was frustrating cuz in replays id like to pretend its me out there. If anyone feels artsy and moldy it would be fun to see a picture or just hear thoughts on the face creators malleability this year. You could spot randomized d leaguers and rookies a mile away last year(they all looked like ******** cousins). Feel free to ignore this and fruckin PLAY THE GAME! CUZ YOU WIN BABY! and for those patient enough to answer our very tediously specific questions your all SAINTS and i love you.
Re: NBA 2K11 Q&A (Those That Have it Early, Confirmed)
Jerz what min quarters have you been playing?
Do you see any capability of scoring 100+ in a game? All my games are on pace for 70-70 type scores even when I play 10 or 12 minute quarters. Admittedly I am flat out horrible...but even the CPU isn't scoring much. Sliders could help shooting percentages come up but not sure to the level it would realistically be
Re: NBA 2K11 Q&A (Those That Have it Early, Confirmed)
Here's the stats from my game against Btown last night. I always play 12 min qtrs. As you can see I got hammered. I did raise the slider for fouls up to 100 for myself and cpu.
I love the game though. I played the first half with real shooting% and the second with shot stick timing. I hit some shots with both but, I'm not sure what I like better. I didn't feel any difference with either. I did miss a lot of open shots with shot timing but, noting to crazy.
Quick note: Watch your passes. The cpu with bait you in to throwing in the post and tip it for a turnover. Most of my 14 turnovers came in the first half. Make sure you use the fake pass button. The cpu on AS is killer this year.

Not sure if you saw my post earlier but here's a tip on passing into the post. If the post defender is quartering, take a couple dribbles towards the baseline to create a better passing angle.
Re: NBA 2K11 Q&A (Those That Have it Early, Confirmed)
I'm not really having a problem passing into the post. I know real basketball strategy and there are some nice animations dumping into a guy on the block.
Real problem arises when you pick up your dribble with someone on the perimeter and nobody shows for the ball, letting their defenders stand barely in the passing lane...and you have no choice but to pass...but instead of throwing a bounce pass where only the offensive player can get it, a dumb chest pass right at the defender.
Again though, I really suck at this game. I know I could control an off-ball player in that situation but that is just too complicated for me. Also, the fact that there is no freestyle passing like in Live 10 is killing me. I know I'm in the serious minority but the passing game is not good in this game. It's a good thing that you can't just whip the ball all around the court without fear of it being tipped, but to me the defense has a major advantage.

oh man i played only one game...the whole time i was just creating the 95 Knicks bench...lol
i found a bug nothing gamebreaking....the play vision stays on when you put the playcalling to auto even though you have playvision off...minor annoyance...

They do have a form of freestyle passing bring up your icons and push the right analog at the direction you want to pass it.
