I dont know if this is the first time, but tonight they wore the white jerseys (that are locked in nhl 11) on ice vs. Montreal. lets release the code here EA.

Sadly I don't think they can. This was a pre-season game, it probably has to be regular season.

The code is for all the jerseys, and not all of them have been unveiled yet.

when I emailed EA a few weeks back the person that replied said the sabres jersey is a separate code and will be released some time on October. I am hoping she was correct.

she said the others would be out the first few weeks in December on easports.com

Yeah, they actually wore them on Monday night for their first road game vs. Toronto. I was kind of surprised and thought they would wait until the regular season. Buffaslug is gone....except for around HSBC arena (scoreboard).

I wish that EA could patch in the 1970 updated logo for center ice, but that's a pretty small quirk. Otherwise, I'm anxious to see what the away jerseys look like in game, as well as the new Bisons-inspired third jerseys.

I have been semi-following the removal fo the slug since it was first introduced.. Seems like they finally got the message.. but it is so odd that they would leave it around the arena, especially in a highly visable place like the scoreboard.... Then again, maybe it is a load bearing logo... They havent had the best luck with Scoreboards, have they?

Jokes aside, (and a shiny nickel to anyone that understood that one) it is pretty odd..

funny enough, it may be. Currently, the slug is perched between some large looking sabres at the bottom of our board. I doubt they had the time to craft a new logo to replace that one over the summer.

Sure, you drop a jumbotron ONE TIME and they make a big deal out of it.

I also noticed that if you go into equipment, Sabres-specific helmets (especially for the goalies) still have the slug logo. ugh.

Odds are it should come sometime in the next couple of days. Buffalo opens the season away against Ottawa, so I'm assuming the regular jersey code will open the new away jerseys. I forget when the new 3rd jersey is set to debut, but I think not for a few weeks.

The Sabres wear the new 3rds at the first home game (which is Saturday). We're in Ottawa tonight so the whites will be worn then too.

Whatever the code is for those jerseys Buffalo is wearing against the Rangers it should NEVER be released.
Those things are awful!!!
