    Hard Fouls?

I'm tired of bigs getting dunked on in this game, I haven't played the game since 2k9, is there anyway you can foul hard and/or do fragrant fouls in 2k11.

No flagrants or technicals but using RT(R2) + Right Stick towards offensive player will result in a hard foul this year.

They look more like intentional fouls to me, unless I'm not doing something right. Right trigger and the right stick is what I'm doing.

I haven't had a chance to try it myself. I'm just relaying the info that was posted on this site by beluba.

Some of the new contact animations are really great to see and look like hard fouls. So I guess you could say the CPU will commit hard fouls.

R2, plus triangle is usually a pretty tough foul if they are in the paint..

When the offensive player is on the ground you get an intentional foul but when he's gathering for a lay-up or dunk you'll get a hard foul.

                        Re: Hard Fouls?

Just played a couple online games and the hard fouls are classic.

In the one game it was a heated Jazz/Blazers matchup. In the 2nd quarter I actually injured Hayward with a hard foul. Then late in the 4th BRoy blew by Raja and Raja proceeded to body check BRoy when he went up for a layup.

They do work and they are effective. Another good time to use them is when the other guy is on a breakaway. It doesn't seem to result in those horse collar fouls but rather just a nice whack on the arm to prevent the layup.

Basically it seems like if you want, you can avoid giving up a lot of the layups and give up foul shots instead.
