Classic Teams

I saw a few videos that have the classic teams with Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, etc. I was wondering if they will have a classic team for the Nets (2000era) with Jason Kidd, Vince Carter, and Richard Jefferson. I want to do 1 on 1 Kidd vs Jordan, because I know during those times Jason Kidd was better than Michael Jordan - I just want to prove a point.

Any word on this?

I believe 18 classic teams is all we're getting (all between the years 1986 and 1998). Therefore, no classic Nets will be included. However, those Nets teams with Vince, RJ, and Kidd aren't too tough to recreate yourself. I'd give it a try. I did it last year.

Only problem with putting 2002 Kidd against Jordan is there is no 2002 Jordan in the game..lol.

2002 Kidd would get killed by any of the pre-98 Jordans.

So, you're trying to prove who was better via a video game...

I'm sure I can make Kwame Brown better than MJ in a video game. And by the way, according to NBA Jam, Jason Kidd can jump 20 feet in the air and dunk it after spinning 720. This not only proves that he was a much better leaper than MJ, but also that he is a gentleman and didn't want to make MJ look bad, so he didn't do it in real life.

Jason Kidd is extremely underrated. He used to carry New Jersey on his shoulders. I always said he was the gardner for the Garden State and I think pre-98 Michael Jordan would have no strategy against 2002 Jason Kidd. I am going to get his attributes from NBA 2K3 and apply them to Kidd in the game and put him against MJ and prove a point. You always hear about LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, well Jason Kidd is under the radar and a better player than both of them. You know, now I will say Kobe and LeBron are better because Kidd is up there in age but we are comparing Kidd in his prime vs Kobe or LeBron. When NBA 2K11 releases, I will provide a video with detail descriptions how Kidd is a better athlete than Jordan. It will be CPU vs CPU though because I am still sharpening up my skills in B-Ball.

Dude, again, if you want to tell everyone Kidd is better than Jordan - just say it and back it up with stats/facts etc.. But using a video game to prove a point...I mean, you can do whatever you want but it just doesn't make any sense, in my opinon.

The only downside to this masterpiece coming out is that it going to draw a lot of new folks who are totally off the reservation. Luckily there doesn't seem to be a limit to the number of folks you can put on ignore.

I don't mean to attack you, but you've GOT to be kidding me. Kidd was a better passer and ball handler because that's what his position demanded, but that's where it ends. We ARE talking about Ason Kidd right? Yeah: Ason Kidd, because dude had no "J".

And like youvalss said: I have played Lakers vs Celtics all the way to Live '98 with the Bulls, and no player averaged more for me than BJ Armstrong in Showdown '94. Armstrong averaged 54ppg for me, so that's saying he's better than MJ? This is like the Twilight Zone or something...

I hope they will add other teams as DLC like the Pacers, Suns, Bulls when he was number 45 and even when he was with the wizards. All I have been playing are the jordan challenges

The only thing that I personally think is a big oversight is how you can have classic teams that Jordan and the Bulls faced and not have Barkley, KJ and the '93 Suns? Arguably the team that had the best chance of beating the Bulls during their first 3 peat run had it not been for that damn shot by Paxson with seconds remaining (I had money on that game BTW. I'm still bitter) They beat Chicago 2 times in Chicago with a game 7 in Phoenix IF Paxson misses that GD shot. Not to mention the triple OT game in game 3. Make this right 2K. DLC with more teams please.

I did not see Vinnie the Microwave on the Pistons roster. I also did not see the Hakeem championship teams.I hope 2k adds more teams
