Will small injuries over the course of a season lead to a major one?
I really like the amount of injuries in this years game. I guess what I am getting at for example, is my running back Andre Arrington seems to get dinged up on a weekly basis. Minor injuries that keep him out a quarter or so. I will usually sit him to prevent something serious. Has anyone noticed if the small injuries hinge heavilly on a big one down the road? Or does it just seem random? I am almost at the point of resting him, untill the ACC championship game, in fear of losing him.Tags: None -

I don’t think minor injuries have any lingering effect beyond the game in which the injury occurs. Even at that point, I think it is random – 50/50 chance the player could suffer a major injury if allowed to play, usually unrelated to the minor injury – I’ve seen go both ways, as has everyone else.
But I have not seen anything to indicate minor injuries have any lasting effect on a players attributes from week to week. Nor have I seen anything that indicates minor injuries make a player more vulnerable to future injuries. Even when a player suffers a major injury and has to sit out for a few weeks, their attributes stay the same, you just can’t play them.
This is an area of Dynasty Mode I think EA needs to rethink for next year. -

I don't think there's a direct correlation. But a player that is more likely to get a minor injury is also probably more likely to get a major injury because he's injury prone or because of the way you use him.Comment

I'm 100% serious with this, but in my Michigan dynasty, Vincent Smith got hurt at least 3 times a game... no joke. But the funny thing was, he never missed more than 2 plays at a time.Comment

Denard always gets hurt for me every game he plays, which unfortunately is realistic. Oddly, in my first season he missed 10 weeks with broken ribs, Forcier took over and played well and then transferred after the season, despite leading the team in passing and being listed 1st on the depth chart
