Playmakers NBA 2K11 All-Time Team Rosters

[Playmakers]

This will be my 1st year creating these squads for NBA 2K basketball but that doesn't mean i'm a rookie when it comes to creating rosters.

I've kinda gotten away from basketball rosters the past 3 years but this game is going to be like my comeback.....

Trust me the final product will be something special with this game.

These teams won't be restricted to any particular year or era. They will consist of 12 players for each squad that make up an All-Time team.

I love doing this so I came up with a statistical method for determining all time teams.

Funny to me that you mention about Brad Davis when your list includes none of the "three J's". Brad Davis is on my team too, on the IR, so don't get me wrong but he probably gets no mention because he averaged 8 pts and 5 assists over his career, despite his tenure with the team. I think people would have more fun playing with Nash or Kidd in this spot. As for Dampier, well, Shawn Bradley probably deserves it more.

I'm going to have to disagree with Bradley over Damp....

Damp actually started on Mavs teams that enjoyed playoff success where as Bradley just occupied the floor. This squad has enough scorer's what they need is a physical big man behind Donaldson who can rebound and defend in the post.

Besides you'd be hard pressed to find very many true Mavs fans that would take Bradley over Dampier.....not that Dampier was great but he accomplished more than Bradley in his tenure with Dallas.

As for Davis like i said he's one of only two Mavs jersey's ever retired that in itself gets him on the team.

Nash is a Suns player as far I'm concerned that is where he won his MVP award and Kidd is going to be on New Jersey the franchise in which he led to back to back NBA Finals.

There will be no duplicate players on these rosters so both guys will run point where they accomplished the most success away from Dallas.

As For Jackson he's not replacing Blackmon or Finley.....loved his game but he's not a more popular Mavs player than those two guys. Mashburn same thing he's in a situation like Jackson competing with Howard, Aguirre and Vincent at SF. Aguirre is a lock as Mavs player and Howard and Vincent were just as effective as Mashburn although most people might not be too familiar with Jay Vincent at the time he and Aguirre formed a deadly punch at SF in Dallas.

Ah, see that's where you and I differ, I'm OK with putting the same player on multiple teams. My ratings are based only on stats they acquired while on that franchise so they may play different on each team (though most likely only slightly different).

Not sure what you're going to do about Wilt, Shaq, Kareem, Dr. J, etc.

Those are all tough choices but since they can't play on different teams Wilt and Dr J will be in Philly

Shaq and Kareem in LA....Kareem will probably slide over to PF

between this game and CH 2K8 Alumni rosters i'm going to be in basketball heaven for Legend/classic players and teams

so suggestion are welcome but keep in mind the teams that are listed in this link by espn won't be altered at all. They are FINAL no acceptions LOL!

What's happenin' Playmakers,

I'll be keeping an eye out for these in the next few months.

Going back 3-4 years ago, you always made NBA Live a hell of a lot more interesting for me to play.

It's a given that (you) the Roster Creator should have Power of Attorney or last say-so on who-all gets created.

I just hope I'll be able to make trades with your rosters, if not I'll still enjoy them.

Having West, Baylor and Goodrich without Chamberlain does not make sense to me.

(Laughs) Dampier only plays motivated during contract years, and even then he does not put up great numbers. I concur with other poster about Shawn Bradley backing up Donaldson.

Anyway as far as ratings and stuff, I know you'll do a great job with the rosters. Me and everyone else will be looking forward to them.

Playmaker, you gotta have dups, your gonna get a lot of people pissed if you don't. Also on another note since your back to basketball after a 3 year layoff, just know this, you are gonna have a lot of competition with these types of rosters when it comes to 2K.

I'm very aware of the great work done by many 2K roster makers on these boards.

But my goal isn't to compete with anyone.....my goal is to take this amazing game and add and amazing roster file to it.

I'm a rookie when it comes to 2K rosters no doubt.....but ultimatley i think my work ethic and attention to detail will translate over to this game very well.

Besides competition only brings out the best in all of us right?
