The turnovers are a bit ridiculous

I'm averaging like 20+ turnovers a game. Ray Allen and Von Wafer should not be looking like Chris Paul out there. I know what you guys are saying but the defenders knowing where the ball is going before the offensive player is not sim.

Co-sign. The passes we got used to getting off in 2k10 wont work in 2k11. We have to unlearn some of those bad habits..
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Do you remember how on 2k10 you could pretty much know where the CPU would pass the ball next, hop into the lane and steal the ball?

            Throwing bad passes = Turnovers

No one is saying you're bad at the game, you just have to get used to it. I turned the ball over like silly my first few games. I suggest going into scrimmage and just playing. Not worrying about the score, i've done that and it has helped. Also I use the stick to pass if it's a difficult pass...ALSO keep in mind who you are passing it with.

Re: The turnovers are a bit ridiculous

2k doesn't even think it is sim LOL. That is why they cut in half steal success in "sim" mode.

Cuz putting it on full = auto-steal...which isn't sim...
2k9 & 2k10 spoiled everyone with dumb*** passes full-court and stuff. 2k11 is much more realistic.

Make smarter passes. Avoid cross court passes against straight man to man. Dribble toward your target before you pass it to him.

                      That only affects on-ball steals

If you make bad passes you will turn it over. Period.

Fundamental hoops + video game hoops. Shorten your passes + Use icon lead passing to lead your player away from the defender.

Don't get me wrong. I won't be letting my little play this game.

You how in "Get him to the Greek" Diddy is like a "Mind F..." Thats exactly what 2K9 and 2k10 did to us. 2k10 wasn't as bad a 2k9. But 2k11 is on a totally different level.

Cross court passes work better than trying to set up an offense and run it. Usually a PF and C reads the pass before my player even sees it.

Re: The turnovers are a bit ridiculous

NBA teams average between 11 and 16 turnovers a game. If you are averaging that much, it's sim. It's been my experience in the past that basketball video games don't provide that many mistakes because people would be frustrated like you are now. More sim means that some of the things people take for granted in video games gives a false sense of realism. Less than 11 turnovers a game isn't sim in a 12 min quarter game. (5 or 6 turnovers a game is sim in a 5 min qtr game)

Teams should average about 25 FT attempts a game. (The NBA averaged between 20 and 31) That is sim. In 5 min qtrs that would be about 8 to 13 FT's a game.
These are my opinions based off of my perspective. I don't expect everyone to agree with me, but if you disagree, we can still agree to disagree agreeably and not fight about it.
