It will make alot of people happy. I dont see how it hurts? For those who likes quick matches make that available too and for those like me who want to look at my opponents W/L record and DNF percentage and Streaks.

there is the quick game/unranked matches mode.Press x(xbox360) then scroll over with RT to the lobbie.If thats what your talkin about.

Yeah it's pretty buried. I just found it by accident last night.

Bring up the "who's online" menu with x then tab over with the triggers or bumpers I forget which.

Why does the lobbies have to be hidden? I like how the lobbies look in 2K8. I don't want to have to wait for 2K to retrieve records to see. By then some of them already bounced out the lobby.

They need to bring it back seriously.. Everyone has complained to bring it back yet 2k doesn't listen to any of us.. It is really sad.. Who cares about unrank games.. Bring the rank lobbies back and we can stop all of this search for available matches bs.. They give us excuses about ppl cheating but ppl cheat regardless.. Ghost

Totally agree 100%.

I hate once again let me retype it HATE how the lobbies are hidden. Why do you have to hit the who's online button to play unranked games and to get to the lobby rooms? I am assuming most gamers doesn't even think they exist. Just look how empty the lobbies are compared to 2k8.

I think the setup they have currently is the best way to do it. People who like lobbies and trash talking etc. may do so in unranked games where it makes no sense to cheat.

People who want to play ranked games and be in the leaderboards may do so by legitimately beating an unknown opponent as opposed to playing the same guy 100 times in a row or hopping on your little brothers xbox to get 100 wins.

When you break it down, realistically it probably takes about as long for the searching for a match screen to find you another player as it does for you to weed through all the talking in the lobbies to find someone that actually wants to play.

Plus it prevents the fact that New Users have such a hard time finding a match. I remember in the lobbies if you didnt have as much games in your profile people would automatically decline game invites.

the list of advantages to having closed ranked lobbies far outweighs the negatives so i tend to believe you guys complaining are in the minority with this one
