I hope we can get some information on the deal in 2011. If 2k can make a NFL football game, they would have about 2 years for a development cycle. Wow that would be awesome and i pray that they can, the gaming community as a whole really hates this exclusive license stuff. I really think that the PR from the NFL might turn there thinking, because im sure they have gotten tons of negative feedback from the deal. Plus they can make more money with 2 companies making a game and just make sure they include all the details in the contracts with the companies.

It would be so nice to have NFL today and all the other achievements in NBA2k11 in a NFL game. I think maddens exclusive days are numbered, the video game industry is changing and exclusive deals are not popular at all. I want all genre of gaming to have a choice and i think the majority of the gaming community wants it too. Let EA make a baseball game along with sony and let the best company win. POWER TO THE GAMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would be awesome if the NFL game was made similarly to how COD is. 2 developers alternate each year thus giving a 2 yr cycle to create a game.

I dunno about that, since EA's agreement lasts till after Superbowl XLVI (so February 2012). I doubt we'd hear anything until then at least.

I think the license extends through the 2012 season, which means Superbowl XLVII (February 2013), unfortunately. The NCAA exclusivity ends after the 2011 season. I wonder if 2K Sports will pursue that.

I mean if 2k approached the NFL this year in 2010, they may release in 2011 that they acquired the license or something to that nature too the video game community. Just to let us know that they have it and can start on a game. Thats all we want too know anyway, the other details can be reveiled in 2012.

You may well be right. If I remember rightly though, the NCAA license ends this coming January.

I always thought. 2k should have stayed in the ncaa market...same way they gave young developers the nba 2k engine n let them make their own game=Choops

They should have gave those same guys the engine from nl2k4 and let .them continue building their own take on the ncaa sport....
imo..nfl2k5 was the greates footbal and sports game i ever played..n i always though vc letting kush use the 2k4 engine would have been a hell of an ncaa FBall game..that egine was more ffast paced n played like an ncaa game.


BUT WHERE JUST CONSUMERS..who the fΠ€k listens to the little guy....all he does is spend his money on a game and takes it home..and homes to keep he controller glued to his hands and his mind in euphoria. Till next years game comes out even better or next sports season or seasons.

Hopin' but most likely not a chance in hell this happens. EA is giving far too much money to the NFL for the exclusive deal and Madden continues to sell millions upon millions; I don't see the NFL changing it anytime soon.

Not likely as 2k basketball has never come close to Madden in sales.

A couple things work in 2ks Favor here:
- The recent American Needle ruling. The NFL may relax there exclusive deals as a result.
- NBA 2k Owns the NBA Market
- 2K Could argue that less titles means they could devote more man power towards the NFL game.

If the NFL goes with Exclusivity again, it stays with EA. But I do not think that it is totally out of the question that 2K would be allowed to make a game, Madden sales have dipped so what does the NFL have to lose? I actually have a pretty good feeling about this, I think 2K will make a NFL game soon ...

So what about the NFL sunday ticket?

game was Avalanche Software.. not 2k Games.

Its been a while since I had fun with a football franchise, would 2k do "myplayer" type mode, I know they can since they kind of invented it with 1st person football.....

the only thing they will not be able to come with is the ESPN licence

There are some parts of madden that are still good so honestly I think 2K and EA should team up and make a game that will blow any other sports game out the water! Damit to be honest I think Ea should just buy out 2k work together and make the games we gamers really want! Just don't touch the NBA ea because u guys would destroy what took years to improve!
