I have been playing 2k series for years so I feel like I know a thing or two about the controls and feel of the game. I am a Cavs fan from way back before Lebron so I chose to stick with them....figuring I'd get a bit of a challenge. Man....I was not prepared for this.
I shot below 30% from the floor, and made only 2 of 12 3point shots. I could not get open, could not make any moves, could not drive to the hoop. The only place the game felt really good was the rebounding where I felt I grabbed a fair amount with Verajo. Also, I felt the players got way to caught up in animations when try to slice to the hoop. I felt I was losing control.
So based on last years game, where I felt that even with Lebron on the bench I could maneuver the bench players and make shots and even get some alley-oops and dunks, this years game feels sluggish and less responsive to me. Either this is the way they rated the Cavs this year (which would be a shame because the support players should not suddenly become slow and unable to shoot just because LBJ left) or the game has a completely different feel that I need to adjust to.
I was missing wide open jump shots and 3 pointers that I know I would have made in 2k10. I timed them up just right but I was missing 90% of them. So in short, do I just need to adapt to the new feel or should I give up on being competetive with the Cavs because 2k had outfitted all my players with invisible shackles to assure they stink in the post Lebron era?
I mean.....this game felt like it was in quick sand playing with a medicine ball!
THanks.
