    NYGiants4Natic Madden 11 Post Patch Custom Sliders V3.5 (Final)

    Okay fellas, here is the update to V3 of the Custom Sliders for Madden 11
    This is the final set and final update of the season for me. From here on out, you guys can tweak them till your gaming heart is content. I have tested these in my current franchise and they have worked out well for the most part.

    If you find a section of these to hard then tweak that part of the issue to fit your need. If the sliders are to easy then do the same and raise them a bit in that section of the gameplay until it meets your skill level. I don't expect all to use these exact sliders because they might work well for you but others might not feel them. All I ask is that you use them as a base and work towards coming up with your ideal set.

    My whole thing is to get a realistic experience but not at the expense of clubbing all teams just because it looked realistic doing so. Video games are suppose to be challenging and fun.

    All options are up to you but what I use is below

    Game Flow (On)

    Game Speed (Very Slow) ****You can choose your liking****

    Game Clock (14 min)

    Accelerated Clock (25 seconds run off)

    Fatigue 53

    Speed Threshold 50 (I do not believe in changing this at all)

    Penalties:

    Offside: 100
    False Start: 80
    Holding: 49 (50)
    Facemask: 49
    Defensive PI: 100
    Offensive PI: 100
    KR/PR Inter: 50
    Clipping: 49 (50)
    Int Grounding: 50
    Roughing the passer: 50
    Roughing the kicker: 50





    Human Sliders (Custom)


    QB Accuracy (17) (15) I lowered this because of high amount of yards per game

    Pass Blocking (16) (22) I raised these because of the lowered QB Acc

    WR Catching (29) (25) I user catch a lot therefore this works fine


    RB Break Tackles (8) (6) Raised it a bit due to lack of broken tackles

    RB Run Blocking (29) (25) Lowered a bit due to changes to CPU run defense

    RB Fumbles (25) (31) Makes you cover the ball more which i feel is an important function of running with the rock


    Reaction Time (40) Had to raise to improve pass defense.

    Interceptions (0) I still get picks but now it is not every time I go for one

    Pass Rush (37) This will provide a solid but not great pass rush depending on the teams d-line or opponents o-line.


    Reaction Time (0) The CPU run game is much better this year but lowering this does not allow you to just jump all over the back

    Break Blocks (0) This was lowered to help cpu run game and it works with the cpu run blocking slider

    Tackling (62) This will help with the broken tackles after raising break tackles for CPU





    CPU Sliders (Custom)


    QB Accuracy (50) With the new pass defense patch this slider is perfect at default

    Pass Blocking (10) (27) If you lower this more then user pass rushing will be far to easy.

    WR Catching (40) This will allow for certain drops to happen to keep things honest



    Break Tackles (49) (53) CPU no longer breaks tackles with my Human Tack Slider

    Run Blocking (33) (37) Raised it a bit to help CPU establish a run

    Fumbles (50) (59) Felt that I was getting to many fumbles with hit sticks and rips


    Pass Recognition (76) (82) This will help the cpu pass defense but raising higher will lead to defenders breaking before receivers which is not sim

    Interceptions (35) (36) To combat easy passing game, this punishes you when you make mistakes. Be smart and no issues will occur. Do not try and throw as you are being hit and stay in the pocket and trust protection.

    Pass Rush (46) (58) This will get pressure on your after about 2-3 seconds but will help d-tackles just swimming around lineman



    Run Recognition (17) (16) Got tired of getting tackled for loses which is not realistic. No gains and gains of 1 or 2 is better then constant tackles for loses.

    Break Blocks (15) (13) Will help counter the constant cpu defensive tackle from swim ripping your guard and center and getting tons of TFL

    Tackling (50) (49) This will help the cpu not allow human runners from just trucking and getting out of 5 man gang tackles often



    Special Teams (Custom)


    FG Length (36) (37) Sucks that this slider is for both HUMAN and CPU. Raised it due to easy 46 yarders with great kickers falling short.

    FG Accuracy (50) This will help improve the CPU from missing FG in bad weather and at easy spots

    Punt Length (36) (37) This will help lower the return game a bit

    Punt Accuracy (50) Allows for better placement down the lines

    Kickoffs (12) (17) This works fine and average kickers cannot reach endzone.



    Auto Subs (Custom)

    QB Out 45
    QB In 50
    RB Out 80
    RB In 83
    WR Sub Out 77
    WR Sub In 82
    FB/TE Sub Out 71
    FB/TE Sub In 76
    OL Sub Out 22
    OL Sub In 27

    DT Sub Out 79
    DT Sub In 84

    I'm glad to see User pass coverage was increased. I was just playing on the old sliders and Fitzpatrick destroyed me for 503 passing yards. Looks much better now. Thanks again for your work!

        Yea I just had to because of the high amount of yards that the cpu was getting. I like it at where I have it know because I can still get toasted but if I do, I now feel because is a great team or that I made dumb plays.

        Fitz should never been smoking you for 500 yards

          Thanks for the update Papi. You're sliders have always given me the best challenge and most realistic results. V3 was giving me a lot of problems stopping the cpu passing game. I'll post some results from this set. Thanks again.

            these are the best sliders. i appreciate the challenge. i hate all the easy sliders everyone posts.

              I haven't tried theses yet, but from reading other posts they seem challenging. I've tried other sliders where the human values are about the same, but CPU numbers are much higher. What's your thinking on that? Does lower numbers provide more realism in your opinion?

                Am not sure which other sliders are you referring to but human values are not the same as cpu values.

                If you put the level at all pro for the human then the values stand at 50 for all skill sets. But the CPU does not have Level sliders. They only have CPU levels.

                The challenge in the game is only modified by what you do to the human sliders. If you enter the sliders for human that I posted then you will see that the overall set is about 16 which is above all madden (15)

                I have noticed that some people have maxed out the cpu pass defense to max at 100. I know in their mind they are doing it because the cpu pass defense is weak in this game. But instead of raising it to 100 which to me breaks a few key elements in the cpu pass defense I compensate by lowering the human pass game sliders.

                By maxing out the cpu pass defense to 100, all you are doing is making linebackers super jump, and making corners and safeties break on routes before the receiver even thinks about doing it which is not realistic anyway you slice it.

                So since I do not have it at 100 because I like throwing all types of throws like outs and curl routes, I put it at lower then 100 max. But I also make the passing game harder for humans by lowering the qb accuracy and lowering the pass blocking along with the catch slider. The catch slider is huge in this game because if you raise it above from what I have it at, then you can throw deep and just press the catch button on like 2-3 defenders and make the catch most times.

                I lower the cpu run defense slider because all I saw was cpu defensive tackles getting tackles for loses all game long which is not realistic.

                But I compensate by lowering human run game sliders from all madden values.

                It works for me but I am sure others have great sliders that fit their style and give them great games. Is all subjective really.

                  One thing I wanted to let you guys know as well.

                  The wr cath slider for humans is very tricky to set. Raising it will cut down on the high amount of drops but will make deep throws very cheesy. What I mean is that if you raise the slider then when throwing deep bombs, if you have a couple of defenders even 3 at times, and you press the catch button then there is a really high chance that the ball will fall into your hands. This is the biggest issue with wr catch slider being higher.

                  On the other hand by having it this low, the throws to the flats or wr quick outs will most likely be drops about 90% of the time. EA does this to counter the infamous easy flats that has plagued the Madden series for a long time.

                  You can say that you should raise the CPU pass recognition much higher or even max but then you get Super Leaping LB and DB's that break on routes before receivers do.

                  That is why it is important to find a balance.

                  At the moment I have played about 5 games today and all throws to the flats have had mostly drops. Best solution I can come up with is to manually cath them but I rather get those drops then having a high high high percentage rate of easy deep bomb catches over multiple defenders with it raised.

                  Just some info on my thinking behind these sliders

                    I am curious about the player sliders? When going to adjust I only have Passing, Rushing, Pass D, and Rush D I am not seeing the other set except for the CPU?

                    and in case you want to know i have a PS3

                      Just press the X button on the PS3 controller when you are on the human sliders under which ever category and it will bring up the sub slider with 3 options to change for each of the skill sets you mentioned.

                          i only played 1 game so far with these sliders but i played the best game of madden 11 to date for me. i made a few slight changes for my personal preferences but these sliders are a great starting point. This was the first game that i actually had real scoring, every other slider set i used the scoring was in the high 30's or 40's every time. both me and the cpu running game was bad especially the cpu im gonna give the cpu run game a slight bump or decrease my rush def. other than that the game had a great feel. looking forward to playing some more on these sliders

                            In regards to the CPU run game. Please be advised that if you raise the CPU run blocking from where I have it, then the CPU run game will only be better in terms of your whole d-line being pancaked on every play by the o-line.

                            I do not want to make the CPU run game great by having them pancake the whole d-line. It is weak and EA has to fix the CPU run game next year so that they gain yards on normal good blocking.

                            I had the CPU run game higher for the CPU but my whole d-line on the Giants which is highly rated were getting pancaked on every play.

                            Also raising the human break block and raising the CPU run block is not an option because the CPU run blocking slider is the dominant of the 2

                            What you could do is lower human tackles and raise the CPU break blocks a bit more

                            Unless you want a good cpu run game at the expense of realistic looking plays
