I'd rather play the association mode than play online. Anyone else feel the same?

I hear ya. But only halfway. I enjoy my own season more in the first place.

Random online exhibition games just never did it for me.

I feel the same but I have to wait for the patch before I restart my association.
After that we can hope that it will be a fantastic mode.

I'd rather play Association than Online Exhibition, but I prefer sim leagues and My Player.

I feel the same, but I feel that way every year. This year I'd actually love to play in an online fantasy league once all the lag issues are ironed out and opening day rosters come out.

I feel the same way. They totally killed the online play. It was perfect on release day. Now it's NBA2k10 and prior. It was so strategic at first. You had to run plays, defense, etc. Now its just a fast pace back and forth dunk fest.

For them to produce such a sim game only to change it back to casual within a couple days lets me know we'll never see a true SIM game as far as online goes. They will ALWAYS cater to the casual gamers.

I've never touched the association mode in 2k so this will be my first year.

Is it such a difficult thing to tier access so sim ballers can play against each other and the casuals can run around with John Wall ect and dunk to their heart's content in their own games?

ive never been a big online player against random people, too much cheesing. right now im knee deep in my player. im waiting for the opening day rosters to start my association

This. I was 4-0 before the switch to casual style. I'm 0-2 since. I just can't play that mess. It feels like 2K10 all over again. Lead passes are extremely effective and there are too many dunks.
