Seriously, taking away our ability to share rosters and then waiting 2-3 weeks to give us a decent one to start a season with... Unacceptable.

This new roster better be amazing.

It wont be. People will always find something to gripe about because that's what we do here. We take a really good product, jack ourselves up about it and psych ourselves out and then when it's not perfect we tear it up to find things that are wrong with it. Even if it's just the smallest thing. Players will be overrated; players will be underrated, players wont be wearing the correct helmet or have the wrong handedness. There are 150 (give or take) teams in this game, things will be overlooked.

It does suck that they took away roster sharing and we can't edit contract years. However, nobody died from it and the earth is still turning.

When all is said and done, people are going to constantly complain that what EA does is never good enough. I just don't understand why those people don't edit their own rosters. I can't wait for the roster update and I think it will be really well done. Will it be perfect? No, it wont. EA Canada has tons of things to do aside from just correcting the roster. They're already working on NHL '12.

I dont know what all the fuss is about, I started an offline Be a GM a week after i tuned the rosters myself, using petr pucks roster moves and other sources(-sarcasm- I dont know, dont any of you follow what goes on in the off season?!!!) People are just lazy, and even when the rosters are updated through EA that is, YOU ALL WILL STILL COMPLAIN about why Tavares doesnt have 99 speed(sarcasm) or why ovechkins shot is 98 and not 99... (more sarcasm) cmon!!! Understandably so, there are going to be mistakes made, with the database growing every year, we help them correct as much as they can correct, but I honestly havent had too many problems, except for an occasional freeze up hear and there, and ofcourse i still dont understand the whole XP points system in offline, but whatever, my players ratings are growing and im fine with it... BUT, i know that a patch will fix all this... so i just keep playing, and i know so do and many others who complain. The world hasnt come to end for me and i see for a few others as well, but honestly do feel like the minority. We all know that once the patch is released, people will update while salivating to see the end results, yet they will find something else to hammer EA about... its never going to end..... just give feedback, and youll get results as a customer, DONT BE HYPOCRITE !!!

hey man, i feel ya im on the same boat, but the point is... are you really EVER going to be 100% satisfied with EVERYTHING you want? be realistic, there are alot of people who like different things... try and cater to that as well as you can. Yes, i agree with certain things would be easier to for alot of people, but its never gon happen. I bit the bullet, and went with outside EA sources to get my roster fix and NOT have to wait for anything. It might have taken me about 7 or 8 combined man hours over a few days, but hey im happy... just a thought. Try it out!!! it aint gon hurt ya....

Most will never be satisfied with everything. Here's the thing though: EA took away something they've always allowed before in roster sharing. Their own roster update is less than stellar. To be disgusted with this doesn't make people wishing for roster sharing "lazy". A case could easily be made EA is just "greedy". Gotta buy a new copy of this game to be able to get their less than stellar roster update

Do you people realize how big of a roster update this is going to be?

They have to update all the teams from the NHL, AHL, OHL, QMJHL, WHL and don't forget about the European Leagues.

People use the argument that Madden had an update out right away - Madden only has 32 teams that they have to update. The NHL guys must have roughly 150-200 teams to work on.

This stuff takes time.....If they get this update out and have the NHL and AHL rosters nailed - nobody should complain at all.

I think I was taken out of context.

I don't care about ratings or equipment. I simply want the right players on the right teams and the proper rookies.

If EA can nail the AHL/NHL, I'd be more than happy.

But, instead, we're waiting and waiting for a roster update (that the community would and could have already completed) to actually have the proper players on their proper teams.

I don't care how they rate Phil Kessel or Oliver Ekman-Larsson, I just want to know their out there and on the appropriate line. I don't have time to adjust, edit, maintain every line in the game. I work full-time and my free time is a premium. I want to sit back and enjoy the game --- and I cannot until the rosters are released.

Remember the days of NHL 94 when you either had to play with the default rosters or edit them yourself? I miss those days.

Are you guys actually sticking up for EA? Come on now. They can do a roster update for just the NHL/AHL and mostly everyone would be happy. They could then take their time, kind of like now, and get the other rosters straightened out. The name of the game is NHL 11 not QMJHL 11. The damn basketball game already has a roster update coming out on the 20th. The other fact was that EA intentionally left out players that we all knew would be playing in the NHL this year but somehow they forgot them? Its unacceptable. I am happy with the game thus far but I dont have quite the amount of time I had when NHL 94 came out to sit and edit rosters, plus at least NHL 94 had all the players that were playing in the NHL that coming year in there. Whats the CAP number up to now ,90 some?????

If it's unacceptable - trade your game in and go get Super Mario Kart or something
