You see these statements quite a lot in reviews, and they always make me ask myself whether I'm wrong about this or whether its just become the popular tagline about the two games. To me all the tactical stuff makes PES more a thinking man's sim, but it's undeniable that FIFA better simulates the actual physics on the field. I don't know, I guess I feel it should at least be discussed in the reviews, and not just labeled the "fun" soccer game to FIFA's tactical simulation.

This happens a lot, I just don't see it myself. FIFA will [b]never[\b] be a full sim game as the developers will not allow this to happen to due their extremely large casual fan base. This reason alone will make me never purchase a FIFA game. Although like you said people over look the tactical side to PES which is extremely relevant for a Footy game.

        Re: PES 2011 GAMETRAILERS REVIEW

Now I'm still undecided about which game I prefer after playing each demo a million times. But that review is fishy as hell.

The commentary on the review is just fine I suppose, but what's with the video? Almost all of the gameplay footage is shown from a "Madden" point of view. Who plays the game like this?

Right off the bat they show a guy standing right in front of the goalie, he shoots and misses the goal wide. Goalie never flinches. The commentator says, "Well you don't see that too often."

Then we later treated to a guy scoring a goal by bouncing it off the goalie, and the goalie doesn't move.

A player runs right by a defender and the defender just stands straight up, then jumps in the air for some reason when the guy is ten feet behind him.

And then it shows a guy come in and score on a run and the goalie doesn't even flinch. To really drive the point home, they show a replay of it in slow motion. Well thats odd. Never seen that happen in the demo.

Then later they show a guy run in from the corner around stationary defenders and score a goal. Not only does the goalie never move, but none of the defensmen ever move. Everyone stands and watches as the player goes by. It looks awful.

Whats that you say? Thats plenty? Nope throm in another goal being scored in the ending montage where the goalie just stands and watches it go by.

I haven't seen any of this happen in the demo. If I never played the demo, I'd be laughing at how awful this game is. Anyone who sees this review is gonna think this game is garbage. Konami should be pissed.

Just because YOU don't see it doesn't mean it isn't true and just because you see it doesn't mean it's true.

When i saw that first goal when he jogged through the Defense i figured he's playing on the LOWEST difficulty settings. This review is just terrible. It contradicts itself a few times.

Can't wait to try the game MYSELF because the only review i trust... is mine.
