Offense only Dynasty (offense cord.)
I am running a offense only dynasty and simming the defense series on my new dynasty. I picked Rice of all teams.....I may run their offense playbook or may just pick a random playbook and build the team from it.

Re: Offense only Dynasty (offense cord.)
That's the way i play my dynasty also. I love defense, but in any football i've never been able to master it. So i use the supersim for defense and i always play every offensive play and all special teams i control. I've done this ever since they started putting the supersim into games.
I just started a new dynasty last night with Southern Miss. I picked Oregon's playbook because after looking overall the type of offensive personal i have i figured that would be the best to get all the athletes the ball. -
Re: Offense only Dynasty (offense cord.)
depends on what offense you like to run for which playbook you should use.
In terms of super simming D, I think there are quite a few people that do it. Personally I dont cause it can be challenging and, if my original D plan isnt working, I like to make adjustments.Comment

Re: Offense only Dynasty (offense cord.)
I also always run an offense only dynasty. My advice would be to change the coaching sliders for all the teams at the beginning of the season. Check the slider forum for these. Also, the biggest thing I've noticed that helps is to go to your "team management" tab before each game and adjust your defensive run/pass playcalling and aggressiveness to match up against the team you are playing. So if you're playing Georgia Tech, you'd want to change the run/pass slider down to about 30 so your defense keys on the run more often than not and adjust your aggressiveness up so that your team will blitz more to stop the run. This has helped me quite a bit.
BTW, I'm playing with Wake Forest and using Auburn's playbook...the halfback dives out of the gun are beautiful.
Good luck!Comment

Re: Offense only Dynasty (offense cord.)
My main dynasty that I play is with Rice on an online dynasty...I am finishing up my fourth year this season. Rice seems to play best for me on the Multiple offense. They have a decent quarterback at least for a below 70 offense, and their running back is pretty good. Their biggest issue for me was the D but obviously you don't really have to worry about that since you are simming the D. What I did was recruit all speed receivers and they are pretty good...also their backup quarterback is half way decent after the starter leaves.www.Lucky-Bet.site => Bet on Sports - 50% Deposit Bonus

Re: Offense only Dynasty (offense cord.)
I tried this for one game.
The problem is, there is absolutely ZERO time simulated between plays (when the clock should be running). If 1st and 10 is a run up the middle for a gain of three yards and the RB gets tackled between the hashes and the clock stops at 2 minutes and 37 seconds, then when the ball is snapped on 2nd and 7, the clock starts rolling from 2:37 when the ball is snapped, despite no timeout, no penalty, no injury.
First and foremost, this bothers me because I like realistic stats, and when me and the computer finish with similar numbers in every category, including number of plays, but my time of possession is 27+ minutes (8 minute quarters) and the CPU time of possession is under 5 minutes, it's really annoying.
Secondly, it gives the CPU offense an unfair advantage when you have a lead in a close game coming down to the wire, as they're essentially getting a free timeout after every down. Meanwhile, on the other hand, it gives the human an unfair advantage when he is down in a close game and the CPU is trying to run the clock down.
The best way to play purely as an offensive coordinator (and this will not work for ONLINE dynasties), when your offense is finished, pause the game, go to the controlled team select, and select neither team and watch your special teams/defense play until your offense has the ball back, then take back over for your team. [This idea is theoretical, as I just now thought of it and haven't actually tested it, but will test soon.]Comment

Re: Offense only Dynasty (offense cord.)
I have a dynasty like this i enjoy it alot because i can get through seasons faster but it does suck to lose on last second drives by the computer. I am in ODs and have other dynasties that i do play D its just not as enjoyable for me as playing Offense.Comment

Re: Offense only Dynasty (offense cord.)
another suggestion if you're worried about what pogo is bringing up: when on defense, switch to the "ask coach" option for defense and call whatever play they say. Then, when the play happens, you don't do anything. The computer will control everything.
That's if what pogo brought up does indeed bother you. I personally don't pay attention to the time of possession and would rather get in more games than have a stat that isn't tracked be accurate. In close games I'm playing both sides of the ball anyway, but for your dynasty idea, my above suggestion could work.Comment

Re: Offense only Dynasty (offense cord.)
I normally do this against the weaker teams. I always play both ways against ranked teams or good teams though just because I liked being able to impact the game on both sides of the ball.Comment

Re: Offense only Dynasty (offense cord.)
I've been doing something similr in my dynasty for a while now. Only difference is I like to control both my and the opposing teams offense. Mainly because the Cpu genrally cant run spread and option offenses well, and i've found he cpu gets better tackle numbers with the LB's. Its just my way of gettin fun with the game.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Re: Offense only Dynasty (offense cord.)
I play offense for both sides as well. It is the best way to make the opponent play real offense.I've done this for 10 years. It also allows me to play 15 minute quarters. I adjust both teams to chew clock. Great results. At first it was hard to not pull back the reigns when I was beating MY team. But after a while, you kinda get used to it. Beats the hell out of playing against the computer offense. For an alltime legends team on xbox, search usertag haughtypine7723
