Which Mode Do You Play Most in Madden11?

In light of recent discussion regarding the future of Madden and the poll about what areas people want to see improved most, I'm curious now which modes people play most.

So vote for the game mode you PLAY most. I for example love playing On-Line with RL buddies in invite-match play. But in the end I spend most of my time playing Off-Line Franchise mode.

I doubt people spend tons of time doing nothing but Madden Moments, but for the sake of having a complete poll all options are included.

I spend quite a lot of time in practice mode regardless of what game I play, but of the options above I'd have to say that I basically only play games in offline franchise.

The mode I play most isn't listed. That would be the Practice Mode.

I always played Practice Mode a lot on every Madden to hone my plays, but on the last two Maddens (10 and 11) I have been playing Practice to try and get myself motivated to actually play a game. It hasn't been working out too well. I'll usually play Practice for 15- 20mins and then remember why it's been a struggle to sit through a whole game.

I used it a lot in M10, dont think I have in M11 yet.

On a side note; most picks are for Off-Line franchise so far, I did not expect that...

I expected to see more On-Line stuff. But the voting is early yet...

Right now, I am playing exhibition games the most, to pick different matchups against the Steelers, to play some intense games. If franchise mode was a lot better, it would be by far the mode I played the most.

Off line franchise for me. Honestly man, I couldn't even tell you what any other mode consists of, as I've literally NEVER touched anything else since franchise was introduced years ago.

The other modes on the options screen are like chickennecks (thats gizzards correct?) my grandmother used to eat that bull****. I'm like, I dont want that **** there's no meat in it. Thats other modes besides franchise to me, no meat, I dont want that crap.

A lot of offline franchise players. What makes this mode so popular? I find the game play against the CPU sort of boring compared to playing against a human opponent.

I voted offline franchise mode but the devs have repeatedly said we are a vocal minority and they must cater to the 90% that are not big football fans so even though franchise mode is finally getting rebuilt I still ain't expecting much.

A big part of the job aswell is that we are bringing in new folks to the audience because we want to continue to grow the business. That's a very big challenge and you know when you look at the job of a designer that's one of the hardest things we have to manage. You know it's very easy for us to go in there and try and replicate the NFL with features like restricted free agency in franchise mode or just alot of little things that most people don't fully understand, we can put all that stuff in the game but the question we ultimately have to ask ourselves, is it fun?

practice. only time i feel like im not being cheated. offline franchise is next. i really cant wait til they address the issues in offline franchise. it has LOADS of potential, but they just cant get it right

Dont know about everyone else but for me its the continuity. Play now one and done games against others just doesn't excite me. I'm into mirroring reality in my sports games as close as possible.

That includes players aging and retiring, stat compilation over the years, college players coming into the game watching them progress, etc.

I can also play my sim style game without worrying about someone else ruining my immersion with (in my opinion) off the wall decisions to win at all costs. I play to win, but to win at all costs including exploiting glitches in the game I dont do.

In short, I dont like the ****ery that other human players bring to the table.

I agree. One of the things that matter in franchise mode is also injuries. In online games it doesn't matter if your starting QB gets injured. He'll be back in the next game anyway. When you play in franchise mode, losing your starting QB could be the difference between a winning season and a losing season.

As I stated earlier practice mode takes up a lot of time for me as well. I just wished they had the option to practice a 2 minute drill. If you had that option, practice mode would be a fantastic way of getting a 10-15 minute quick fix of Madden without the hassle of playing a game. Yes, I wrote hassle, because I lack an option to remove/reduce the number of cutscenes and play my games in half the time.

Let us select our own field position (50, 80 or whatever yards) and have a 2 minute drill with normal rules (4 attempts, penalties ect.). Then I would probably play practice mode 95% of the time.

Man, I didn't expect such landslide results when I made this poll.

Also I agree with 'the creep'... I like the continuity of franchise mode. Thats is definitely what attracts me to it the most, and gives lots of re-playability.

I really do hope to see more work done in off-line franchise. In the other poll about which modes you would like to see improved most, I voted for franchise play.

Still though, I was expecting the on-line/off-line votes to be about 50/50. Not 80%+ in favor of Off-line 'Chises.
