WASHINGTON STATE IS GOING BOWLING!!!!
VS
GAME PREVIEW
For the 2nd straight year, Coach Dodge would get a chance to beat the Texas Long Horns. (Upset win in Week 1 with UNT last year). So don't think that the Longhorns have forgotten Coach Dodge.
Even though WSU enters the game with the better record (7-6 vs 6-6), Texas is still the favorite to win the game by 3 touchdowns.
GAME RECAP
It was a defensive battle in the 1st Quarter as neither team could get into a rhytem and both would settle for Field Goals to get on the scoreboard. Texas would finally get into the endzone on a 2 yd run by G. Gilbert and after a Tuell Int, Texas would add another FG to go into the locker room up
13-3
Washington State would open the 2nd half with the ball, but Tuell would throw another INT and Texas would take over from there, scoring 3 TD's through the air by Gilbert to take a commanding 32-3 lead into the 4th Quarter.
Both teams would struggle to put together drives in the 4th, but finally with 1:50 to play WSU would find the endzone as Tueel hit M. Wilson on a 7 yd slant. WSU would attempt to the onside kick but out of timeouts, the Longhorns would have pitty on the Cougars and run out the clock.
