Re: Spoelstra On Hottest Seat?
Probably not. With all of these great players on his team, he'd better get more creative on offense.-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

Re: Spoelstra On Hottest Seat?
THe hottest seat for the season yeah, but not after 1.5 quarters of play. Everyone will be having an eye on this team and are going to be expected to win it all every yearSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Spoelstra On Hottest Seat?
Do the Heat run any kind of set on offense? Yeah it's the first game, but the Celtics have a purpose on the offensive side of the floor, not to mention they play team defense.
An underrated quality to a championship team is an elite coach, that which the Celtics have and the Heat do not.-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

Re: Spoelstra On Hottest Seat?
my thing is that the guy has no name recognition or accomplishments to speak of. and you know that pat riley would love to be coaching this group. i think he's under a ton of pressure and i bet nobody in vegas would have predicted a 9 point first quarter.
imagine espn was getting a bit nervous...STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Thought I would revive this... Guess I wasn't so stupid afterall.
Funny how the 1st quarter of game 1 has been a microcosm of the season...

Re: Spoelstra On Hottest Seat?
Um, the Cavs last year had 3 of the league leaders in 3PT% in Mo/Parker/Gibson.Originally posted by z4ckdabeastI'll give you Mo Williams - but since when are Varejao, Big Z, and Jamison considered better shooters than the ones Miami has now?
Z - 47.8 3PT% (11/23)
Gibson - 47.7%
Mo - 42.9%
Parker - 41.4%
Jamison - 34.2%
West - 32.5%
J Williams - 32.3%
Moon - 32.0%
With LeBron shooting 35.1% himself..
This season, out of the guys that's taken a significant amount..
Arroyo - 61.9%
Jones - 40.5%
House - 40.0%
Wade - 25.5%
LeBron is down to 26.2%.. Everyone else has taken less than 15 shots. Mike Miller would be a shooter, but other than that, nobody. It's pretty silly to argue that the Heat team is a better shooting team than last year's Cavs.Comment
