While you don't think it's your console, it might be. I've had 2 RROD experiences, where with a certain game this freezing situation would happen, but I could get into other games and play them without problem.

Then a couple weeks later it got worse, and eventually RROD.

Don't rule out your console just yet, I've been down this road before.

However, you being on the new dashboard could also be the issue too. Unfortunately there isn't going to be much information available cause you're testing a new piece of software.
