Another cool thing is that it lets you do this thing called FUT Generations, which essentially lets you combine the best players from all you FUT teams (as long as they are still on your team in said version of the game) to make a dream squad of sorts. I didn't play FUT in 09, and hopped on the bandwagon late in 10, but here's what my generations team looks like:

FIFA 11 Ultimate Team discussion
So FUT comes out on Nov. 3 but you can already get started on your Ultimate Team on the EA sports website. There you can get your starter pack, set you lineup, starting trading/selling/buying. For those of us who played last year's FUT, you get two bonus "loyalty" packs that have cards of higher value than the starter pack.

Re: FIFA 11 Ultimate Team discussion
Just logged in and got started. I now know how I will be spending any free moment I have this weekend. Trying to build a team so I can jump into playing right away when UT is released. Trying to create a couple different teams.
England/npower League 2 team (bronze)
All England squad (gold)
EPL squad (gold)
and probably my 2 Bundesliga squad (silver)
I am pumped up right now.
Thanks for the info.
The best card I pulled in the 3 packs that I opened so far was a Benayoun CAM for Chelsea. I bought Johan Elmander and Frederic Piquionne.
Does anyone know if it's possible it buy more coins yet or do we have to wait?Teams:
NFL - Packers & Browns
MLB - Brewers & Twins
NCAA Football - Wisconsin, LSU, Virginia Tech
Soccer - Arsenal, Wolverhampton
NHL - Wild -

I'm down to 114 coins though because of spending all of them on 3 players, one of which I now regret already.
Anyone know how to get more?Teams:

Re: FIFA 11 Ultimate Team discussion
I just followed some links found on the EA page that said "FIFA 11 Ultimate Team." It asked if I wanted to get started, clicked that, and it let me open the 3 packs and gave me 2500 coins.

Re: FIFA 11 Ultimate Team discussion
I received 2,500 coins. Spent those rather quickly on a couple players. Now I have 3 bid tokens with 489 coins. I just want to play already so I can start getting players. I wonder if we'll be able to buy packs online?
I really just want to start buying coins/packs and build a team so I can start playing right away.Teams:

Re: FIFA 11 Ultimate Team discussion
What have people gotten for their free daily gift?
2,500 coins was my first and 500 coins was what I got yesterday.
Really looking forward to being able to play this mode. At a minimum I'll be able to do stuff online during the week which will be just as fun.Teams:

Re: FIFA 11 Ultimate Team discussion
If you've played FUT in the past, 09 or 10, you get a free daily gift for being a return player. Usually they are given around 7PM CDT, so 8ET probably.
Today I picked up a silver mini pack. Got one player, Stephen Pearson from Derby County, then 2 kits and a badge.
My gift on Friday was 2,500 coins. The gifts range from bid tokens, to coins, to mini packs (bronze, silver, or gold). They are giving out the daily gifts until the release day.Teams:

Re: FIFA 11 Ultimate Team discussion
I never got any coins which is annoying. All I keep getting is bid tokens, which I'm not sure what they are for. Apparently I can bid with them without having any coins. I can't buy anything before the game is out and I earn some coins so far.PS4: hedache0

On a different note, finally got a daily gift, 1,000 coins. I'll take it, but I wish the other times I logged on it would've given me a daily gift.Lux y VeritasComment
