    Would You Play??

I know over the last couple of years the football game market has been nothing but Madden... and Madden and this year we had Tecmo Bowl and Backbreaker.

    But my question is..

Would people still play an arena football game on the next gen systems? For those who actually played the ones on the PS2 and the one on the xbox, knows those games were too bad at all.. of course they had flaws and what not. But they weren't bad games at all..

The league took a year off to get it's act together and it came back as a real good product for those who attended games, watched it online or even on the NFL network.

So if another game would be put together..

    1. Would you buy/play it?
    2. What features should be in it?
    3. What should be a pricing point before you think it would be too expensive??

This has been something i have been wanting to know and this is the best place to ask it.

    Re: Would You Play??

Good question. I like the idea of having as many choices as possible - no matter the flavor of football. That said, I'd consider it if the price wasn't too high. Honestly, I think 29.99 is as high as you could go with a game like this.

Give me a franchise mode, TV Style Presentation, player development, play editor (especially in the arena league - i think some of the pre-snap mostions lend to some great play creations), and maybe some Coach stats and job status reports.

Probably yes. Something different, high scoring, and fast playing would be nice....oh wait, that's what we have now.

      Lol.......

Seriously, I'd give it a look. Same with a Canadian Football League game. As long as they were done right with great presentation, franchise and gameplay.

I'd consider paying full retail (as high as $60) for any football game on current gen systems that is fun, plausibly realistic, and has franchise/superstar-mode replay value.

I would buy it definitely, but unfortunately it is not a smart move financially to make an arena game so it probably wouldn't be made but we can hope

I'd certainly play an AFL game. CFL would be cool too.

I bought both games and enjoyed them. I would buy a next gen game as long as it was at least as good as the previous ones. That being said, I think the game would probably be most feasible as a download on the PSN or XBL. More football, more better.

But if its an XBL game or a PSN game.. would it be a success if it's 19.99 or something of that price point?? Because how many people actually would buy a game that's available online??? What about those people who don't have XBL or PSN?? There is a good portion of the consumer market that doesn't have that option. Would it be better if the developer released to the public for 29 or 39.99?

I would be just as disappointed with Backbreaker if it was a $20 XBL/PSN title vs the $50 retail release it ended up being. Don't really care about pricing structure or distribution excuses for a game to be less than what you'd expect from a football game, I'm looking for replay value for my play style (franchise/superstar, offline).

A good game will get bought up and become a success though, however it's distributed.

                      I wouldn't.
I don't follow AFL Football and I like to run in a Madden/NCAA game.

I don't follow NCAA but buy the game every year. Don't have to follow it's RL counterpart to enjoy a game. Make a good one and I'll buy it. Some depth to the franchise mode and more realistic gameplay and I'd still be playing Backbreaker, which is a 100% fictional league.

AFL/CFL francises dont fall apart based due to transient rosters, it's just a different kind of game to manage those kinds of teams. NCAA teams cycle through players every 3-4 years too btw.

I only see myself buying this
If it sold well and had a big online base.
Was fun and had cool features that you couldnt get anywhere else.
If a Arena team moved to my city.
