Is the game worth buying?

Looking for some input if this game is worth buying. I'm not a huge NHL fan, and I don't really know many of the players, but the game looks to be really awesome. I'm an offline player, and I have read that there are issues with BE a GM mode. Is this true and if it is, is it a game killer? Thanks for any input or advice you guys give.

Hell yes.....grab a copy..the game is great, there are some bugs, but not anything that will effective your hockey gaming expierence.....plus there will be a patch soon to fix any of those issues.....with the right set of sliders that you can get here at operation sports......you will love the game.. enjoy bro!!!

Yeah, there's a few issues here and there with the game, but far from anything I'd ever personally consider a game killer.

Imo, NHL '11' is great fun, and provides a fair, interesting and solid challenge. I'm having a blast with the GM mode again this year. For me...I'm seeing a nice variety of outcomes with my GM games. From eking out 1-0 win/losses...to getting waxed 7-1. I believe NHL '11' is well worth the money. But renting first if unsure, is always a good idea.

as the other 2 guys mentioned, this game is not perfect but great to play. just like you, most of the game i play is offline. so BaGM mode for me is the important mode. with some bugs, this game so far is very fun to play, highly addicting specially if you get the right sliders.

according to EA there'll be a major roster update available next week (Nov. 2) so thats good way to start your game. and hopefully (crossing my fingers & TOES) that EA will be able to patch this BGM mode and this will be the best NHL game since 1994. =)

Best game mode and I bought it for the PS3.Is the PS3 version okay or should I get the xbox 360 version as well?

Definitely. It's a really fun game and I continue to enjoy it despite the bugs.

You kind of have to buy anything EA sports makes now. Because of the online code thing.

Alright, I just got back from buying the game. I want to start a Be a GM, not really a fan of any team, but would love to build up a team and maybe become a fan in real life. Anyone have any recommendations.

What teams are located around you? THose would be the easiest to follow in real life if you enjoyed using them in the game.

Nashville and St. Louis are the closest teams around.

After the big roster update I would look through those two teams. Figure out which one has more young talent and go with them. Young teams are fun to watch. I am a Kings fan, youngest team in hockey and it is fun.
