The only real advice I could give you is to search on here for the "Madden NFL Online" board or the "Rosters" board and look for Patch 2 to download onto a flash drive and load into your system. The drawback is that every time you go on XBox Live it will prompt you to download the new fourth patch. So, basically it boils down to 2 things :

-Download patch on the computer, USB it to your hard drive and don't go on XBL

-Don't USB it, and use the workaround that people have found (CPU both teams, then select your team after the opening kickoff in the pause menu)
