Humm maybe this is the reason why the series isn't progressing, instead of aiming for new exciting things, we all want features from 5 years ago. I understand some of us miss those features and that years Madden blew this years one in terms of actually options, but i don't want something from 5 years ago, i want something completely new; something only achievable on this generation of consoles.

Maybe that is still doing concession prices and stuff, but the overlaying imagine and options have to be more in dept. We have to get something we couldn't have gotten before

How will the developers adjust to an 18 game season if that comes about?

There are already overseas games and the Bills in Toronto. In franchise mode are there going to be these options?

I don't like either, but its the way the NFL is going. Should be considered by the developers.

Will player training make its way back into Madden? I liked the option of being able to make individual players better by practicing. I don't see why that was ever removed.
        Dear Madden,

The little things matter. . what are the little things you say?. . . Idk. . surprise me ;-)

          I hated it!
The drills were not near as fun as the PS2 but also the idea of picking 3 players and improving the rating of your choice doesn't happen in real life.

I agree that it wasn't fun but removing it is not the solution. I don't agree that this doesn't happen in real life. Focusing on a specific skill to improve on is something that players do all the time. I don't know what you mean by that.

Yup, that's what I use at home, although I'd tried it on Netscape with no luck, but at work I just had to download quick time and I was all set.

Ian Cummings: "pretty regularly...not weekly but consistent."

My guess is once a month or every other week.

I haven't played Madden 11, but if it is anything like NCAA 11, the fully populated half-resolution sideline is not something I would be "bragging" on. It looks awful and has for years on all of the next gen consoles. Completely detracts from the entire experience and it is something that the other game completely nailed to the point where it felt rewarding even just running out of bounds....

                      Re: Madden Developer Podcast

Just installed Quicktime and had a listen.
Still going with "Everything you see on Sunday". Sounds good but when it was used to get the awful break gang tackle animation because Steve Smith did it once and the David Tyree catch in the game I am not a fan. The problem with putting these freak plays in is they are no longer freak plays but a gamely occurance. I would much rather they follow every other games and go the calender approach in offline franchise and put everything I see Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the game.

I would also like to hear what restrictions are imposed by the NFL. For example it's very annoying when I start a franchise mode and Ben Roethlisberger is third string all season instead of suspended for four games. This is easy to solve but are you allowed?

I agree they should have got them back to ps2 caliber and it does happen in real life. 2 specific examples for me.

1.Darren Sharper's rookie year in Green Bay his tacking was terrible and he was called out on it. He focused on that in the offseason and came back his sophmore a solid tackler who made the pro bowl.

                        2. AJ Hawk has been criticized for his coverage skills. As of week 8, he has 8 passes defensed and 2 ints, both tops for lbs. Obviously, he focusing on this part of his game.

Sure players focus on improving particular skills but usually in the off-season and the coach definately doesn't sit down every week and pick 3 lucky players and exactly what he wants to improve. I am sure Rex Ryan would like V.Gholston to improve his football I.Q. and I bet Vernon has tried but that doesn't make it so.

There is $11 million reasons for that.

But if progression is right then that should happen anyway. The idea of being able to pick players to improve will never fly with me. A player can be stinking it up every Sunday but I can be improving him every week. Niot a big deal if it was there but I wouldn't use it.

Well then they could build off of that in the game. Have it only happen in the offseason, like voluntary camps. If you try and build up a player with poor work ethic, the game will simply tell you.. "Randy Moss and Brett Favre have chosen to skip voluntary workouts."
