Him and Tracy McGrady should hold retirement pressers together. Save on time and resources.

career pretty much done imo. Even if he was to have no serious injuries the rest of his career he's gonna have problems with his knees 24/7 not to mention who knows how well he'd be able to play

            What a waste.

I've always been a fan of his too. I lived in the same school district/county as him in high school and got to see him play a few times. Guy was a monster.

I feel so bad for him. He seems like such a nice guy and to have this keep happening is horrible. He truly deserved better than this.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

Sad for Oden...but not for the Blazers. Picking Durant was a no brainer then, now, and in 10 years. Even more pathetic is Durant had one of the best workouts of all-time for the Blazers.

Eh... I'm pretty sure almost all of the NBA teams thought Greg Oden was the #1 pick at the time.

                        Blazers are donezo.

Roy and Oden's careers seem down the gutter

                        Oh well

The saddest part is that you had to put the current season in the thread title or everyone would have just thought it was an old thread.

isn't he already hurt? But you're right, he's due for his return then re-injury near the end of the year. I always get a chuckle when NBA analysts use Bynum as an example for why the Lakers are better than whatever team or why the Lakers are the favorites... and they always have to throw in there, as long as he's healthy.

As to the guy that said Durant was the no brainer back then, now & in 10 years... during that draft people were 50-50. Some thought you take Durant, others thought go with Oden. I remember listening to the Blazers GM talk about how they can't miss because both guys are a great choice (boy were they wrong) but back then thats the way everyone thought.

They're right though. If Andrew is even halfway healthy, and can play at least 20 minutes, they on paper should be better than any team.

Just like you saw last year, an injured Andrew Bynum put them over the top to win the title. Without Andrew major doubts come as to whether they would have won.

So I'm not sure why you chuckle when they say that, unless you chuckle when people say true things.
