    OBG's Post-Patch Sliders

Okay, these are meant to be played over a handful of games. I have games where I'm outshot 30-15, then I turn around and out-shoot the CPU 30-15. There is a lot of variance.

The one area I'm really trying to get down is the HUM goaltender to CPU shot relationship. So, I'm interested in stats if y'all would be so kind.

    So...without further delay...

Period Length: 10 minutes, some of you guys might prefer to play 11 or 12 with these. I sacrifice shot totals for lower scoring games. Plus 11-12 minutes seem way too long for my schedule. Plus, I don't sim games.
    Penalties: Maxed
Post-Whistle: Authentic, but that up to you.
Penalty Scaling: 3 This one is important as with it a bit shorter, my PP percentages have gone down to more realistic percentages as I hover around 17-23%. Also, it has raised my PK percentages into the 80's, whereas before I was in the 70's all the time.

    Skill Level: All-Star
    Tuner Set: 2.0
    CPU Aid: Normal

    Human/CPU
    Broken Stick Frequency: 3
    Game Speed: 3
    Attribute Effect: 6
Fatigue Effect: 4/4 I've learned to like players getting progressively more tired as the game goes on. Really justifies the Game Speed being at 3.
    Fatigue Recovery: 3/3
Injury Occurrence: 6/6 Still not many injuries.
    Puck Control: 1/1
    Acceleration: 1/1

    AI Learning: 6
    CPU Difficulty: 5
    CPU Strat Adj: 1
    Hum Strat Adj: 0
    CPU Faceoff Diff: 5
    Fight Diff: 2
    CPU Pen: 5
    CPU Teammate Pen: 6

    Pass Assist: 3
    Man Passing: On
    Pass Speed: 3
    Saucer Pass Speed: 4
    Pass Acc: 1/0
    Pass Rec Ease: 0/0
    Pass Interceptions: 1/0

    Shot Acc: 1/1
    Shot Pwr: 4/2
    Slap Shot Acc: 0/0
    Slap Shot Pwr: 6/5
    1-Timer Acc: 0/0

    Hit Assistance: 3
    Aggression: 6/6
    Hitting Power: 2/2
    Stick Lift Effect: 4/4
    Poke Effect: 3/4

    Goalie Passing: 3
    Goalie Cover Freq: 3
    Screen Eff: 3/4
    Goalie Reaction 6/6

Interested to see how you guys like em.

    Nice

Need to find sliders i can go with, the ones i am using just now are good but i keep losing. I only seem to be able to score one goal and i'll usually lose 2-1 or in the shootout even if i have more of the puck.

    Looking forward to trying these

What are you pulling an EA on us?...

Nah, I'm just joking. Take your time.

I'll try to get them out tonight after I play. I'm still tuning the relationship between my goaltender and the CPU shooters...just need to see if I should lower my HUM goaltender reaction or raise the CPU shot power.

There is a possibility that I will, for the first time ever with EA's NHL Series, have a HUM goaltender reaction setting that is lower than the CPU's goaltender reaction.

I forgot I had family coming in tonight.

Not in the mood for the holidays, I am.

Makes me very happy that we are experiencing the same issue. I've been experimenting a lot(with a slightly modded version of your pre-patch sliders), and the CPU seems to have most if not all goals off rebounds after the patch. Now I'm not sure if the shot power will increase rebounds or they will be able to snipe more often, or if I lower reaction speed will the amount of rebound goals just skyrocket. Anyways, rant over.

                    Re: OBG's Post-Patch Sliders

EA should hire me as I seem to know how to make their game work good.

Just think of it, OBG sliders as default settings on NHL 12. LOL.

Anyways, tonight I will release my best slider set ever, IMHO.

This game went from 'something missing feeling' to a damn good time.

Instead of the 2 games a week I was playing, its more like 7-9.

Made the game fun for me

OBG, just wanted to post that you have (with your sliders) made this game (NHL 11) very fun for me.

I'm a 40+ old gamer who dosen't play everyday, but wants to be able to sit down every couple days and play a hockey game that plays and feels like the real game. I have played video games forever (back in the Com64 days, NHL 94 and so on), but have never found a game, now with these sliders, that I felt was totally realistic.

Living just west of Chicago, I watch the Blackhawks when I get a chance and really got into hockey watching thier playoff run last year.

I have also always wanted to play and then write a dynasty about a Be A Pro player, which now with your adjustments to the game have made it possible to play and then post realistic stats.

Great job...I think EA should hire you, but then there wouldn't be any need for these great threads, LOL.

For those of us who like to play 20-minute periods, is there any way you can make some suggestions on where to go with your sliders to make that a possibility after you've posted them?

                              Question OGB.
By the end of the period are the players going onto the ice already in the yellow on the fatigue bar? Using 2 as fatigue recovery
