Trading in or selling games on ebay?

I've decided to switch to PS3 due to it's blue ray capabilities and some of my closest friends have the PS3 that have been bugging me to switch lol. I want to trade/sell in my 360 and all my games that go with it. I see that Gamestop right now has a deal where if you trade in 6 or more games you get 40 percent more credit. That sounds like a good deal. Should I trade in most of my shooter games and the current sports games and then sell the older games on ebay since I'm guessing they won't give much trade credit for it? Anyone have experience on getting the most value for your system/games that you want to let go? Thanks for your time.

I would check eBay on which games you have and see how much they are going. See if you like the price. Usually eBay is better than gamestop.

I agree, check Ebay. I've had the most luck selling on Ebay to get a fair price back. Gamestop can be a rip off sometimes. I traded in the new Castlevania game after 1 month and only got $22 trade in! I will trade with Gamestop sometimes for convenience, but usually stick with Ebay or even Craigslist to sell games. Good luck!

If you don't mind meeting complete strangers in a public place then craigslist.

Ebay, shipping, and paypal fees will eat a sizable chunk of your money.

Selling locally is always the best/first option.

I almost always go with Ebay unless GS has some sort of special. I don't want to meet random people off the streets.

I sold Madden 11, RDR and The Show 10 last week. I got about $90 for the 3 of them. Plus, my gf has her own business and is going to the post office all of the time so I don't have to worry about shipping.

So is trading 6 or more games and getting 40 percent more trade in credit a really good deal? I haven't been on top of trade in offers. That's the current deal from GS which I can fulfill. After reading your comments I'm leaning on towards selling on ebay.

You can always go into Gamestop to see how much money you would get with the 40% more trade in credit. If you dont like the deal just take your games and leave.

You could have gotten about that much simply trading them in at Best Buy. Just an FYI, as a lot of people don't realize BBY does that... You'll typically get between $26 and $32 store credit PER game.
