WHy cant we just have something like, we need to hold the shot button for 1 second on set shots , and 2 seconds on running jumpers to have a positive jumpshot feedback on any player .
Jumpshots Timing should be adjusted.

Jumpshots Timing should be adjusted.
The reason being is that i like to use different teams for fun when i play online and to learn each players jump timing on his release bothers me.

Re: Jumpshots Timing should be adjusted.
I don't like this at all, I'd rather the game be a challenge, and one of those3 challenges is learning every player, and that the players have individuality.Comment

Re: Jumpshots Timing should be adjusted.
I understand to having a challenge and work my offense pretty well but it just bothers me when i use random teams and have to adjust to their release.
I dont want to go in the practice gym with 30 + teams just to see how each player releases their jump shot .
Some have quick releases , late, and in between which i feel we shouldnt spend much time on it because i feel the most important aspect of the game is getting wide open shots with set plays and tendencies.
When i do work for open shots and then i dont know that teams jump shooter release , it bothers me because i worked hard to get open and then bad shot .
Again guys, i do get on the practice gym and use 2 teams and i do have their timing down but again i like to use random teams online for fun and really dont have time to go through all the teams jumpshots to get their timing down .Comment

Re: Jumpshots Timing should be adjusted.
he makes a good point, not to be able to use a player effectively because his release is quirky isn't realistic...no one can dispute that. although its a non-issue if real fg% doesn't rely on shot-stick timing.
does real FG% address this? can anyone clarify?Comment

Re: Jumpshots Timing should be adjusted.
Part of what makes Sig styles great is that they're different. If 2K made every jumper the same like they used to be in the OLD games, I would be done.I understand to having a challenge and work my offense pretty well but it just bothers me when i use random teams and have to adjust to their release.

Do you really think it's a good idea to make every release the same so everyone can close their eyes and make every single shot they take? Do you actually remember what NBA Live 97 played like when this was the case?
If you play with the random teams like you say, you really only have to play 30 games and then you should have an idea what each team's jumpers are like.PSN : TALLERthanyou24Comment

Learning players releases is one of the many things that add to the depth and realism of 2k11. Dumbing that part of the game down would not be cool. When you play a game like street fighter are you upset that every fighter has a different move set you have to learn? Learning shot releases is really no different. If you want to be good with all 30 teams you got to put in the work...I understand to having a challenge and work my offense pretty well but it just bothers me when i use random teams and have to adjust to their release.

Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Re: Jumpshots Timing should be adjusted.
I'm a big fan of Signature Style, but sometimes it feels like the shot release window is too narrow. I dunno, especially with a team you've never used before. I don't play online, but the couple of times I did, I used teams that I don't normally use, and I can see the benefit here. The shots would still look and feel different, and players would still have tendencies and hotspots. It's just that this particular dimension would be more amicable.
It probably comes more down to if the shot release is very pronounced. Like I came across this today with Mike Miller, all of my shot releases with him were late because his release point is very subtle. No one should be expected to play with all 30 teams to ensure that they can hit open shots.Comment

Too bad most of us did learn them and 2k went and changed the release points and is screwing everyone up and it was for the worse not the better.Learning players releases is one of the many things that add to the depth and realism of 2k11. I am timing my shot perfect (at the top of the jump) and its in the RED that is BAD, you should not have to over or undershoot to get in the red. That is not realastic at all. No player releases the ball late or early in the game of basketball. You release at the apex of your jump, after the patch that is no longer the case.Comment
