Re: NBA Offseason Moves & News Discussion (PG 1 - Updates)

HM you didn't really touch on either guy's "skill sets"

Noah has a much higher ceiling offensively and is much more likely to give you 15-20 point games than Andy because Noah already has superior IQ and marginally better post work/foot work. At least Noah went through college being somewhat of a "go to guy" meaning he had to feel comfortable with catching the ball near near the goal with his back against the basket.

To keep it short and simple, Noah is already the player Andy is and better at a much younger age. I'm talking offensively for sure, defensively it's probably a wash for now but I'd take Noah anyway in that department. Andy makes it 4 on 5 on offense while Noah steadily won't be a liability.

I'm a little cautious about giving these guys these contracts but in the end I can't hate.

Now in Andy's case it's much worse because Cleveland is garbage without LeBron. I could definitely understand paying Andy knowing that my team is going to compete for a title, because every title teams needs that guy, but now that they have no shot it's like... we're stuck with a pretty high paid garbage man who is a liability on offense.

Which brings up another point: sometimes the best "garbage guy" is the hardest to figure out because you're paying him off pure effort and hustle once you pay him who knows what he'll do because he has limited skills. And you had better hope your team stays intact or else you're stuck with him.

Noah IMO has the potential to develop into something more than Andy ever will but the ceiling is definitely set on him... maybe a few All-Star games in the future I don't see much more than that.

Ya'll boy A.I might be heading Overseas according to Yahoo Sports:

We are in very serious negotiations with [Besiktas],” Iverson’s business manager Gary Moore told Yahoo! Sports. “Istanbul is beautiful from everything we’ve learned. It’s not that far from the U.S., and the competition is good which makes it all attractive.

Thank God, he is just atrocious.

Not that most NBA analysts aren't, but Snow and Brent Barry both suck you know what. It was somewhat entertaining though they both genuinely seemed to resent one another.

The Knicks have offered two 2nd rounders to Portland for Rudy. I'm indifferent on Rudy at this point, wouldn't hurt to add him for a pair of second round picks.

                Yeah might as well.

He does nothing except shoot three's and his defense is typical DAntoni style so he'll fit right in.

I have no idea what happened to this guy after he came to America, he looked really promising. He was fearless going to the hoop during the Olympics and I'm sure he did the same thing in Europe leagues.

He seems so content with being Marco Bellenelli it's a shame

Houston is idiotic. NJ wins. Indy finally gets their "point guard". NO's will be disappointed with Ariza because he's not gonna do much on that team.
Would you believe if me I told you Troy Murphy was the 3rd best PF on the team behind Favors and The Hump?

Indy and NO are clearly the winners at this point.

Dude's been a waste for us and was the only active player to not play against the Clippers on Monday and his minutes have been and we be going down for a while.

Let's be serious here, he could be a good piece on the bench for any NBA team.

I was being serious, and no, not really. He's old, takes terrible shots and puts up a ton of bricks. So basically he's an old volume shooter that can't shoot. What team wants that?

Never knew 31 years of age was "old" in the nba. Kobe must be ancient.

Kobe is "old" considering the fact that he started playing in the NBA out of high school.
