      CAP's

I am now officially accepting some people to create a pro. You will be placed in free agency and might be picked up by teams at the beginning of the season or during the season as the need arises. Also state if you would like to be in the following years draft. Obviously if you go to free agency your guy will play right away. If you go to the draft then your guy will play next year which could take quite a while. Follow the directions below to create your pro!

      CAP's Format:

      Name:
      Age:
      Height:
      Weight:
      Position:
      Draft or Free Agency:
      College:
      3 Strengths:
      3 Weaknesses:
Anything else you want to add is just fine!

I am not putting a "limit" on the amount of pro's I will accept. I will follow each of your career's and put updates at specific points during the season.

Definitely 2k11. Only way to go. Updates will be coming soon. Still looking for more people to create their own players.

              Key Games

              10/27 Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder boast a young upcoming squad full of potential. This Thunder team is a dangerous team with deep play off run potential. Kevin Durant coming off a season where he won the scoring title provides this team with leadership. Russell Westbrook has a play making ability that can simply change games. The Bulls will have a handful with these two alone. Not only are these factors but it is the opening game of the season. The regular season does not matter much but games like these are a great measuring stick as to how well your team is doing.

              11/5 Boston Celtics
The Defending Eastern Conference champs need no introduction or why they are a "key"game. Rondo, Pierce, Allen, and Garnett are the only introduction necessary. Disrupting Rondo's passes and shutting him down are a key to winning this game. He has emerged as a leader for this team and widely believed as the best player on this aging Celtics team. This will be yet another measuring stick game for the Bulls to see how they match up with the Eastern Conference Champs.

              11/17 San Antonio Spurs
Old and slow yet still able to produce wins. This squad will be a tough match up for the Bulls since it will be the second game on a 7 game road trip. That is tough for any team to fight through. Special coverage will be given to this game as well as the other two games by Chicago Times. John Weemus will be providing you with interviews and exclusive coverage!

Thunder Rally to Beat Bulls in Season Opener!
                By: John Weemus
Dreadful, terrible, horrifying. All words to describe the second half of the season opener for the Bulls. "We weren't able to produce the kind of offense we did in the first. Obviously, that will lose you games." Coach Thibs had to say of the lackluster effort in the second half. "These are the types of games that matter. These close wins give us momentum into the next game." He also added to the discussion.

The Bulls offense started off on fire nearly hitting 70% of their shots in the first quarter alone. They dominated the boards and outplayed the Thunder. Kevin Durant could not find his stroke only scoring two points in the first quarter. Luol Deng caught on fire in the first half scoring 10 of his 13 points for the game. "Everything we practiced for throughout the week all came together in the first two quarters." Luol Deng said.

The second half was a different story however. Luol Deng could not find his jump shot. "I have to give the Thunder credit for their half time adjustments. They mattered in this game." Luol Deng continued on to say.

Carlos Boozer turned in a great second half nearly carrying the team on his back for more than half of the third quarter putting in 8 of his 16 points in that quarter alone. On top of that he put up a double double dominating the boards throughout the game.

The fourth quarter came with the Bulls ahead by 5. The score quickly trickled down to 3, then 2, then 1. Momentum swung in favor of the Bulls several times but they were not able to close out the game. Derrick Rose drove the lane leaving Westbrook at the 3 point line and finished with an "and 1" lay up. This was not enough however, as Derrick Rose drove several more times and was taught why he does not belong in the paint with the big boys.

I can point out all of the negatives I want but this game did show something the Bulls lack the most, a go to guy. As the clock wound down the Bulls did not have a guy who they could look to for a win. The story for the Bulls at this point is: Who will step up to be that guy?

                  By: John Weemus

Derrick Rose has gone down with an injury after putting up solid performances for his team. He is supposed to be out for 1-2 weeks. This could not have come at a worse time (like every injury) since the Bulls will have to face Rajon Rondo and the Celtics without their leading scorer and leader in assists. Looks like C.J. Watson may have to step in that role.

Bulls Mount Comeback against eastern conference champs!
                    By: John Weemus
The Bulls have shown the world what they are capable of as they defeat the Celtics in a shootout. Derrick Rose faced uncertainty coming into this game with his sprained ankle however, he decided to play through the injury. "Sometimes you gotta play through the pain when a game like this comes along." He had to say about his playing time. "Coach wasn't happy about me playing but he knew this was a big game and let me play through" he added about his coaches feelings.

Not only did Derrick Rose show the world how tough he really is he also showed how amazing he is even with a handicap. He put up 26 points and 13 assists as he literally carried his team to a win and earned himself the Jordan Brand Player of the Game. "Derrick played great out there. I didn't think he would be able to play but he approached me the day before the game and told me he was going to play." Said coach Thibs. "Usually I like to make the decision to sit or play him but you should have seen his determination when he told me that. Kid's a competitor." He added.

The Bulls struggled to begin the game going down ten. The first quarter was a very frustrating quarter for the bulls. Kyle Korver was the only bright spot in the first quarter shooting 3/4 and putting up 8 points. The rest of the team struggled on offense as well as defense. "It's frustrating when you get open looks and they're not falling in man. We knew we just needed to be patient though." Says Luol Deng who shot 0-5 in the first quarter alone.

The second quarter began and it seemed as if the game was going to be a blow out. The Celtics were relentless dropping three's on the Bulls the whole quarter. The Bulls went down 19 at one point in this game. However, a late surge toward the end of the second quarter allowed Chicago to relieve the damage they took throughout the second quarter.

The third quarter was where the comeback started to happen. "We made adjustments. We knew some players weren't as involved in the offense as we wanted them to be so we worked to get them more involved." Carlos Boozer says of the dire situation at the half. Carlos Boozer was a man on a terror in the third quarter piling on 12 points. It seemed as though every time they went down the court they were looking for Boozer. The Celtics had no answer for him as he scored at will in the paint.

Derrick Rose began his late game heroics towards the end of the third quarter as well when Boozer was put on the bench. Isolation after isolation the Celtics could not put an end to his scoring. At the buzzer, signaling the end of the third quarter the Bulls had momentum and were looking at a 1 point deficit.

The fourth quarter is where everything came together for the Bulls. Derrick Rose did not stop his supremacy on the scoring end as he continued to punish defenders left and right. He scored 22 points in the third and fourth quarter alone. Not only was he punishing those who were supposed to guard him but he was dropping dimes the whole entire fourth quarter. Derrick Rose made his player of the game status complete when he scored 8 points in a row to rally the Bulls to within 3 points. Kevin Garnett then attempted a mid range shot which lead to a Boozer rebound and the possession that would give the Bulls a tied game.

Kyle Korver nailed a three after going through a double screen to hit the open shot. The Celtics were not done though as Rajon Rondo showed some clutch hitting a running jump shot down the lane. The game was now 105-103 in favor of the Celtics. Derrick Rose showed once again why he was the player of the game and took Rondo to the rim and finished his drive off with a lay up. The game was now tied at 105.

The Celtics took the ball down the court and ran the clock down to 3 seconds before Ray Allen took a 15 foot jump shot. It rimmed out and Noah grabbed the board followed up by a quick timeout. The Bulls now had the ball with 3 seconds left. Everyone thought they knew who the hero would be for the Bulls but everyone was wrong. The in bounds pass took nearly all 5 seconds to complete as Kyle Korver was hit on the baseline which gave him a 15 foot jumper. "When I took that last shot dude, I just knew it was going in bro." Hippie looking Korver said. With a hand in his face he swished the ball to seal the deal of a buzzer beater shot for the win.

The problem I had brought up in the Bulls only loss of the season to the Thunder was, who is the go to guy. That problem seems to have rectified itself when Derrick Rose stepped up to the spot light to claim his spot as that guy. I am not sure how this single game will affect the Bulls for the next game but I have to imagine that the next team should watch out for this team.

                        Bulls Hold Off Spurs Rally
                        By: John Weemus
The Bulls have been on a roll following their first loss to the Thunder. This game marked their second road game on a series of seven. They have started off their march on the road with good quality wins over good quality teams.

This game seemed as though the Bulls would win in a blow out fashion. The Spurs had other idea's. The first quarter was one sided. Derrick Rose dominated this quarter putting up 12 points. Drawing 2 and 1 calls in this quarter really helped lift the Bulls to the advantage in this quarter. "Derrick was on the prowl in the first quarter. He was hungry for some points man." Boozer had to say of Rose's dominating first quarter performance. Boozer also added 4 points of his own to the first quarter. The real story though comes from Joakim Noah's interior defense. The man was holding a block party. He finished the quarter with 4 blocks on his own!

The second quarter began and that momentum the Bulls built did not stop. They continued to pour on the points. Derrick Rose focused more on spreading the ball around to his teammates this quarter. Boozer lead the team in scoring this quarter and put up 10 points of his own. Luol Deng finally found his rhythm after a poor performance in the first quarter putting up 7 points. "I was patient out there. Derrick kept feeding me the ball so I was bound to find my stroke eventually. My teammates showed a lot of confidence in me by giving me the ball and that is what gave me a boost." Deng said of his slump in the first. Kyle Korver added 5 of his own points in the second quarter while Rose posted a modest 4.

The second half began with the Spurs and the Bulls trading off baskets. It was a shooting clinic for most of the third quarter. "Dude, I was totally just trying to get open at the three point line. Rose kept passing me the ball off screens dude. I had like 2 three pointers in the third alone." Korver had to say of his performance in the third quarter. He was clutch for them when they needed him most. His three point shots came when momentum was starting to swing in favor of the Spurs. Boozer also posted up a great third quarter performance adding 7 points to the mix.

Then the trouble began. The Bulls were leading by 16 points going into the 4th quarter. That is a comfortable lead for any team. Perhaps the Bulls got a little too comfortable? The Spurs had a few runs of scoring against the Bulls which brought them back into the game. Manu Ginobli hit shot after shot really increasing the Spurs chances of winning the game. "All you can do about a player like that is get a hand in his face. If he is hitting those tough shots than there is nothing you can do about that." Thibs said of Ginobli's hot hand. I had never seen a player take over a game as fast as Ginobli did. He lead the Spurs to within three points.

I said that I had never seen a player take over a game so fast, well I lied. Kyle Korver started lighting the floor up with his three point shooting ability. "Dude, I like already told you earlier. Rose kept passing me the ball at the three point line dude. I just ran around the screens to get that three pointer going man." Korver said of his clutch performance in the fourth. He hit 4 three pointers in a row ultimately destroying any hopes of a come back from the Spurs. Then on top of that he put the nail in the coffin by hitting two free throws to put the game away. Korver was awarded the Jordan Brand Player of the Game for his outstanding performance in the fourth quarter.

Done for the night. Look out for the updates coming in the next couple days! Should be good! Especially to those of you who created players to be in the draft. I will be simulating a season on CH2k8 with those who have been created so you guys will see how your teams do in that game. I put Matthew Tram from Vietnam but if you want to go to a college so you can experience that you can put one up. If not, then I will just post up your scouting reports from the game and those will be your updates.
