    Is This Just Me?

I'm a Michigan slappy, homer, whatever you can think of.

    Born and raised in Michigan.

    I love the Wolverines.

But in NCAA, I stay away from them. I almost never play with my favorite team.

I think I would just dominate the game with the players already on the team. With Michigan's high prestige, I'd be pulling in Top Recruiting classes from the start, even with recruiting on Heisman.

Ive found myself playing with the worst teams I could find in the game, just for a challenge.

Western Kentucky first. And now New Mexico State, who just got invited to the PAC 10 (hells yea).

Is this just me or do you guys feel the same way?

    Re: Is This Just Me?

I know it's not just you. But I've never been that way.

I always do my first dynasty with Louisville. Now, granted, Louisville isn't the powerhouse that Michigan is (or has the potential to be, anyway). But it's still a good BCS school with some solid ratings that can easily become a powerhouse after some really successful seasons. I tried to do the terrible team thing, but I just could never keep myself coming back. I hated playing the awful WKU, FIU, Utah State, etc teams. I hated having 10,000 fans at a game during an undefeated season.

So eventually I would take a better job at a BCS school and build them up. But then I just felt like, "what's the difference now?" I'd rather be playing with my alma mater than Illinois or FSU or some other team that I don't have any ties to.

Steamrolling teams with Wisconsin isn't fun to me, so I use other teams.

Done a couple years with South Carolina and a year with Nevada. And like half a year with Oregon, but again, steamrolling teams isn't fun to me.

I like losing, the fair losing, not that Robo crap.

I'd never lose with Michigan. Never. I'd tear folks up, and hell, I'd never have to recruit a QB for like 6 years damn near!

Michigan next year is going to blow, at least the defense is, because of this year.

But still, with that prestige, I'd have 5 and 4 Star CBs in no time. Putting up damn near 80 on everyone.

Thats not fun at all for me.

I can't play with Ohio State. Never really have either. I feel like I'm trying to hard to get their statistics comparable to real life. And it's really not fun.

I like to start out as Michigan State just so I can beat the crap out of Michigan. I eventually move to smaller schools where I always schedule games against Michigan and then proceed to kick their butt.

I play with Florida every single year. What is funny is that I rarely win the BCS and often times don't even win the SEC (online dynasty or even offline).

Sliders are my answer. I don't play on Heisman either. In the end, as long as you are having fun and get a good challenge, that is all you can ask.

Online Dynasty, I still use my team(Texas Tech).

offline single player, I use a weak team to build them up.

                  Re: Is This Just Me?

If you're dominating against equally talented teams then your difficulty level/sliders are too easy. I always work hard through extensive testing to make sure that the game's difficulty is balanced for me, so even if I'm Michigan, if I'm playing Ohio State on the road that is going to be one tough game. If it isn't then you need to crank up your settings.

Once I get those in place, I then typically start with a lesser team (like Utah State). I know the difficulty is going to be there no matter how far I progress, and at the start with a 1-star team I will be in for some beatings, which is realistically what should happen.

All I do is play on Heisman. Out the box Heisman difficulty, Heisman recruiting.

Ive never messed with my sliders and I don't plan on it.

I can't even play offline dynasty anymore after playing in some ODs. I like to take solid but not great teams in an OD and keep them strong. I wouldn't really enjoy playing as a scrub school (AKA Duke) in an OD. But I'd rather not be someone like Bama or Oregon and destroy everyone. More fun taking a second/third tier school and making them a top school (I usually choose Va Tech or UNC).

That's your call. I prefer to play on a realistic difficulty for me. You must be a lot better than me if you dominate easily on Heisman. Perhaps you could implement some "house rules". There are some plays, gameplan settings, and gameplay rules I follow to prevent taking advantage of the CPU's shortcomings. For instance I do not user catch, I don't switch players on defense unless the ball is in the air, I don't use aggressive d-line on gameplan settings, and don't call anything remotely resembling a "money play" (i.e. one I know will work in a given situation). Oh and I never restart, no matter how much my paranoia tells me the CPU is cheating

I think Im ok. Its just that I'm used to playing on Heisman. Its really hard to win with low schools and bad recruiting classes.

Even the money plays wont work 100% of the time.

I play like everyone else it would seem. Speed WRs. And throw slants like no other route was ever made lol.

I use Pro Style Offense, using the Pass to set up the Run.

CPU cheats so badly dude. Really bad. Its hard not to Money play them up when they are jobbing you the entire game. But I throw some of everything. Mostly slants.

That's your problem. I always play with Michigan on All American and I don't dominate. I haven't won (or even played in) a NC in this year's game in 8 years. In the previous 4 versions of the game, I've only ever won 2 NCs with Michigan.

With the correct sliders, you don't have to worry about dominating teams.

I went undefeated and stomped everyone on my schedule by 40 every game.

I wasn't even paying attention to the ranking and there it was #1 WKU vs #2 Army.

Shocked. And I stomped Army, only cause Option teams suck if they are not named GTech.

Every game that year was a blowout.
Are you saying that you're so opposed to changing sliders that you'd rather stomp everyone and go win a National Championship with freaking WKU than to play as your favorite team and get challenged and have to scratch and claw in order to just win the Big 10?
