Progression needs to be pre-determined, But...

I just realized that Madden's progression system needs to be predetermined, but also needs to be randomized. Each time you start up a Franchise, a player should progress different than he did in another Franchise - but this should only go toward the computer. I mean, come on... a 54 overall guy would never be able to reach like 95 overall if the computer is using that team. So why should we have the ability to make a 54 overall guy 95.

At the beginning of each season, the computer teams should have hidden ratings. The guy who was 54 overall on the roster, will either still be that 54 overall or some other rating that we have no knowledge of. The only way we can figure out his rating is to trade for him. We can scout him by looking at stats, but we should not know the rating.

If you don't follow me, this is what I mean.
Example: Ok, on Madden 12 Matt Leinart is a 68 overall. Ok, but when we start the Franchise his rating will be ? (a question mark) and we wont know his rating. He could either still be that 68 overall, or be a 52 or a 84. Who knows. Only way to know, is to trade for him.

Ok, so I am in Franchise mode and trade away a 6th round pick for Matt Leinart. All of a sudden, he is an 85 overall - looks like hes goin to be a superstar! He would of never had the chance to show off that 85 overall cause he is behind Matt Schaub on the depth chart.

I start another Franchise mode, and trade away for Matt Leinart again... this time he is a 54 overall. Terrible, so he is just a roster filler.

What do you think? I think Franchise should randomize the other CPU team ratings because lets be serious, the CPU will never sit down with a player and try to develop a 54 overall guy into a 95 superstar.
